Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and give relevant reasons, including workers’ health and mental wellbeing. The example about your neighbour also attempts to support your view. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the health point is difficult to follow, the mental-health reason is left unfinished, and there is no developed explanation of why a longer weekend would help or how employers might manage it. The response contains 106 words, so it is 144 words short of the 250-word minimum; the 12 words copied from the prompt are not included in that count. To develop your answer, explain each reason, add a complete example, and address the effects of a shorter working week.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an emerging structure: you introduce your opinion, begin a first reason with “Firstly,” and signal another point with “secondly.” This gives the reader some indication of how you intend to organise the response. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within the paragraphs. The first reason and neighbour example run together, and phrases such as “because not a work in daily routine” make the relationship between ideas hard to follow. The second point, “workers face a mentally problems,” is not developed. Use separate paragraphs for each main reason, connect each claim to its explanation and example, and finish with a conclusion that restates your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “working week,” “weekend,” “health,” and “company,” so the general subject is recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make your meaning difficult to understand. For example, “a relax of life” does not clearly express the benefit you mean, while “a mentally problems” is not a natural phrase. There are also spelling errors such as “imprtant,” “issuue,” “statment,” and “priviate.” Build a more precise range for discussing rest, wellbeing, productivity, and working arrangements, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express a position and give reasons, and you use basic linking structures such as “because” and “For instance.” However, sentence structures are very limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries make several ideas hard to interpret. For example, “he work a everyday” lacks correct subject–verb agreement and uses an unnecessary article, while “the should a relax” does not form a complete grammatical clause. The opening also joins the topic and your opinion without a clear sentence structure. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because” or “which,” checking that every sentence has a clear subject and verb.
