Student answer (Band 6.0)
There should be short working period of week for workers and worker should have more number of holidays on weekend. I strongly agree with this statement.
Firstly, I would like to give some reasons of it. Actually, it is very significant for the workers to do work with suitable timetable. For instance, there should be two offs on weekend for the workers so that they can refresh their mood for working on the start of next week. There are so heavy load of work on workers that only one off is not enough to give them peace of mind. Consequently, when working week will be shorter, it helps workers to recharge their batteries and they can work with more concentration. After all, workers are the crucial part of our society. Therefore, we should facilitate them as more as we can. It is also the great example of humanity.
Furthermore, along the shortage of working week, longer weekends should also provides to workers. It is because they also have right to spend some quality time with their family and friends. If they will work all the time and will take no rest, it can also effect their abilities and can weak their concentration. They also get bored by working all the time and by their same boring schedule.
In conclusion, I totally agree with it that it is very necessary for the workers to take rest along with the work. Additionally, their weekends should be extended longer so that they can recharge their batteries and can do further work properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: “I strongly agree,” and the conclusion restates that workers need more rest and longer weekends. You address both elements of the proposal and give relevant reasons, including recovery, concentration, and time with family and friends. The example of having two days off helps illustrate your view. However, some points are asserted rather than developed: the claim that workers are “the crucial part of our society” does not explain why a shorter week would benefit society, and the family-time point could be supported with a specific example or consequence. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation of how it supports your position and acknowledge practical considerations if relevant.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from rest and recovery to family time, so the reader can follow your overall argument. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Consequently,” and “In conclusion” help show relationships between points. At times, however, these transitions feel mechanical, and several sentences repeat the same idea of rest and recharging without adding a new step to the argument. Some references are also unclear, such as “it” in “it is very significant” and “along the shortage of working week.” Use more precise links between claims and explanations, and organise each paragraph around one distinct reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “suitable timetable,” “quality time,” “concentration,” and “recharge their batteries.” There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “peace of mind.” However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, including “more number of holidays,” “two offs,” “shortage of working week,” and “weak their concentration.” Repetition of “work,” “workers,” and “weekend” also limits flexibility. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding your position, but they make parts of the argument less fluent. Build a more precise range of phrases for working hours, rest, and productivity, and check that words combine naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they will work all the time…” and a result clause beginning “so that.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “longer weekends should also provides” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “There are so heavy load” and “it can also effect their abilities” show problems with sentence structure and verb form. The conditional “If they will work” also needs a more suitable tense pattern. Practise accurate conditional forms and agreement, and proofread each sentence for its subject, verb, and article.
