Student answer (Band 5.0)

Its is widely argued that time of work around the world goes averagely with eight to ten hours maximely, while some people believe the working time should be shorter and with more time for the weekend, I completely agree that less time of work will be benifcial more, in this essay will discuss why the working time can effect to health positevely.

The primary reason why i believe working with less time than the average they used to work, is that can help the workers provied healthier lifestyle more, this means that people can take care of themselves by giving more time for thier habits and to do sports reguraly without any pressure of time, for example, working with less time can create a gap between activity to another,as result, people avoid mental health problem, also they can make more time for thier habits.

Another significant point is that weekends should be more for workers, this is because people can give more time for their families, for instance, kids can have more time with thier parents by taughting them new skills and giving more support for their habits, consequently, the return of this time they spend with children it will be the sucuess in their education caarrer.

In conclusion, althought argue that working with less time and with more weekends it is good idea beacuse it can be more helpful to increase live quality with healthier lifestyle also can affect in postive way to build a good community.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall position—“I completely agree”—and provide two relevant reasons: shorter working hours may support workers’ health, while longer weekends may give parents more time with their children. The examples about exercise and helping children with their education show an attempt to support these points. However, the ideas remain general and are not explained in enough detail; for example, the link between shorter hours and avoiding mental-health problems is asserted rather than developed. The response also does not fully explore the proposal for a shorter working week, as it focuses partly on daily hours and weekends without explaining how the working week itself should change. The required minimum length is not met. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify your main position and follow the broad sequence from health to family life. You also use linking expressions such as “for example,” “another significant point,” and “in conclusion.” However, progression within sentences is often difficult to follow, and several ideas are joined together without clear punctuation, as in “as result, people avoid mental health problem, also they can make more time.” Some connectors are used mechanically, and references such as “the return of this time” are unclear. Use shorter, clearly punctuated sentences and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “healthier lifestyle,” “mental health,” “families,” and “education,” so the reader can understand the general ideas. There are also attempts to express cause and effect through phrases such as “consequently” and “as result.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “time of work,” “working with less time,” and “the return of this time”; more natural expressions would be “working hours,” “reduced working hours,” and “the benefits of spending this time.” Spelling errors such as “benifcial,” “reguraly,” and “su cuess” also affect clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “while,” and “for example.” This shows an effort to connect reasons and supporting details. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For instance, “in this essay will discuss” lacks a clear subject, while “I believe working with less time than the average they used to work, is that can help” has an incomplete and confusing structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation, as in “it is good idea” and “people can give more time.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check articles and sentence boundaries.
