Student answer (Band 5.0)
The issue of weekend holidays has become a subject of widely debate recently. Some people think that, the working days should be smaller moreover employes should have a larger weekends. I partly agree with this statement. I will dicuss both positive and negetive aspects in upcoming paragraph.
To begin with first point, it is crucial for individuals that is workings days should be shorter. Beacause nowadays people have lots of stress of work. They donot have extra time for others works. Furthermore, people almost busy everyday , they donot spend time with their family members. If working days will be shorter so, individuals are stress and better consentrates on their work. For example the survey is conducted in 2001 in Australia which people suffer from busy weeks whereas, it is very tough for individuals. Section of people beleive that, if individuals have shorter days for work therefore they are better consentrate on work. They have not lots of stress, they enjoy their work.
In contrast, if people have longer weekends that is why, they cannot value their work. People are mostly busy with family or friends. Another worthmentioning point is, if people spend many holidays hence it is difficult to come back better in their work, their routine is disapointed. For instance, in the working days, they consentrate on their work. If they spend long weekend, another days they cannot consentrate better on their work. It can put bad effect on their company, their company face lost.
In conclusion, there are arguments on both side. After looking both statements. I still believe that, working days shorter cannot benefits for people. If they spend long weekends so, on another working day they cannot consentrate on their work. Overall, working week should not too much shorter.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a position—“I partly agree”—and discuss both shorter working days and longer weekends, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the position becomes unclear: the conclusion says shorter working weeks “cannot benefits” people and argues against long weekends, without explaining which part of the proposal you support. Several points are asserted rather than developed. For example, you say shorter days reduce stress and improve concentration, but the Australia survey is not explained or connected clearly to this claim. The concern that longer weekends could make it harder to return to work is relevant, but needs a clearer explanation and a specific example. State your view consistently and develop each main reason with a clear cause, effect, and supporting detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the broad direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several linking phrases are repetitive or used inaccurately, such as “To begin with first point,” “Furthermore,” and “therefore.” The relationship between ideas is sometimes difficult to follow: the survey sentence shifts abruptly to what “Section of people” believe, while the second body paragraph moves from family time to concentration and company losses without fully connecting these points. The conclusion also repeats earlier claims rather than resolving your partly agreeing position. Use fewer, more precise transitions and organise each paragraph around one clearly explained reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to work and wellbeing, including “stress,” “concentrate,” “routine,” and “company,” and the reader can generally understand the topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning unclear. Examples include “working days should be smaller,” “larger weekends,” and “their routine is disappointed”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “employes,” “negetive,” “consentrates,” and “beleive.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing working hours, rest, productivity, and family life, and check spelling carefully. Aim to use precise expressions rather than repeating “work,” “people,” and “concentrate.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some attempts at complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If working days will be shorter” and clauses introduced by “whereas” and “if.” However, these structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns as well. For example, “individuals that is workings days should be shorter” has problems with clause structure and agreement, while “working days shorter cannot benefits” has an incorrect verb form. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “a larger weekends” and the comma after “think that.” These errors can make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences using correctly formed conditionals and subordinate clauses.
