Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many people says that the number of working days for the employees every week must be less so that they can spend most of the time outside of the work due to they have got long weekend every week. but some other argue that working week should be longer and weekend should be short.however i belive that workers should get longer weekend.

My complete firm belief is all the employees whoever does full time job. I personally, belive that working days should be less when compared with non-working days, due to several benefits. The most remarkable merit to this is individulas can able to spend memorable movements however they get enough free time.In the same time, the high amount of stress will be reduced their mind is free rather than everyday pressure due to heavy workloads. In addition, they tend to lead healthy lifestyle beacuse they are balancing both work and they are gertting enough time to relax and spend with family.last, far from the least, working employees will stay active and get enough time to enough their own company and tend to stay very optimistic.

on the other hand, there are some groups of people who vehemently believe that the working days of the people who does work should have to long and they should get very few dayoffs.Their principle belive to this is if the people who gets more dayoffs every week contionously their dedication and interest towards work will be gradually decreases.besides,The quality of work tends to be ineffeciency and the companies will face complications.furthermore, their presence of mind will be not fully on work.

therefore, persauded by all the discussions till now as well as driven by personal experiences ,I would like to reiterate that, I totally agree the Idea the working days for all the employees should have to be more shorter than earlier.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is identifiable: you support a shorter working week and a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons such as reducing stress, allowing time with family, and supporting a healthier lifestyle. You also acknowledge the opposing view that more days off could reduce dedication or work quality. However, the response only partly develops these points. For example, the claim that workers will be “very optimistic” is not explained, and the opposing argument is listed rather than examined or answered. The opening also introduces a longer working week without clearly setting out the debate. To strengthen the response, explain how reduced stress or improved wellbeing could benefit workers and employers, and support at least one point with a specific example. Keep your position consistent and precise throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting your view, a paragraph presenting the opposing view, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and linking expressions are sometimes mechanical or inaccurately used. For instance, “In the same time” and “last, far from the least” do not connect the points naturally, while the long sequence of benefits in the second paragraph reads more like a list than a developed argument. Some sentences also run together, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Use one main idea per paragraph, explain it before adding another, and choose simpler, accurate transitions such as “Furthermore” or “As a result.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “workloads,” “dedication,” “quality of work,” and “healthy lifestyle,” and these choices show an effort to discuss both sides of the issue. However, the range is limited by repeated general words and frequent inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation. Phrases such as “memorable movements,” “enough to enough their own company,” and “the quality of work tends to be ineffeciency” make some ideas difficult to understand. Several expressions also sound unnatural, including “long weekend every week” and “their principle believe.” Build a reliable set of phrases for work-life balance and productivity, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer clear, familiar collocations over ambitious expressions that do not fit the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “so that,” “when,” and “if.” This shows some effort to vary sentence structure. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries can make the argument difficult to read. Examples include “Many people says,” “employees whoever does,” and “their dedication and interest … will be gradually decreases.” The final sentence also has an unclear structure, particularly “I totally agree the Idea.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, with several sentences beginning after a full stop in lowercase and clauses joined without clear boundaries. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences from correct, shorter clauses before adding subordinate clauses.
