Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individuals believe that working week should be shorter and weekend should be long. In my opinion, Neither the working nor the weekend should be shorter it sould be well adequate.
Therefor, The proper balanced of both is nessesary for company and for employee. In week we have seven days so as according to government five days are working and saturady , sunday are off in which employee can give time to their families and friends or can do other activities according to their own preference. It will be benefical for both the companies and for employee. Companies plays very essential role in the developnment of the country.
Furthermore, The working hours can be also managed properly like reducing working hours of employee or arranging breaks for their naps so that they will not feel frustrated. Companies can also indroduce different activities with their colleagues for one hour in the office time so they will feel less pressurised. These type of activities will boost their energies and will allow them to give quality work. For instance My friend fatima works at international company. one day we have get to gather and she told us that her company have small roooms for naps, if any employee feels fraustrated they can go their and can take small nap. She also shared that their are some brain stroming activites arranged by the company which help them to engage and relax their minds.
In conclusion, If working hours are balanced properly than their is no need of long weekends. Healthy activities arranged at office can help worker to reduce strees and allow them to give their hundred percecent to their work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is that the working week should not be shortened if working hours are managed well, and this is stated in the introduction and conclusion. You give relevant supporting points, including time off for family and friends and workplace breaks or activities to reduce frustration. The example about your friend’s company makes the discussion more concrete. However, the response does not fully explain why a longer weekend is unnecessary, and the point about companies’ role in national development is not clearly connected to the question. Some ideas, such as the benefits of office activities, are asserted rather than developed. Explain the effects of your proposals and address the trade-off between working time and weekend time more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally move from the current five-day working pattern to possible workplace changes, and the example is placed alongside the point it supports. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the statement about companies’ role in national development interrupts the discussion of employees’ days off, and the final paragraph largely repeats earlier claims rather than drawing them together. Linking words such as “Furthermore” and “For instance” help signal relationships, but some transitions feel mechanical, and references such as “These type of activities” are not fully clear. Group related points more tightly and use the conclusion to summarise the main reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “working hours,” “frustrated,” “pressurised,” “brainstorming activities” and “quality work,” so the main ideas are usually understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “small rooms for naps.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “benefical,” “developnment,” “fraustrated” and “hundred percecent.” Some phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “the proper balanced of both” and “give their energies.” These issues limit the clarity and control of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for workplace benefits, such as “maintain productivity” and “reduce stress.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If working hours are balanced properly…” and a relative clause in “activities…which help them.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation occur in several places. For example, “Companies plays” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “working week” and “weekend” need appropriate articles in the opening. The sentence beginning “In week we have seven days so as according to government…” is difficult to follow because several clauses are joined without clear grammatical control. Capitalisation after commas and full stops is also inconsistent. Practise building complex sentences with one clear main clause and check agreement and articles during editing.
