Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this topic, we will discuss about workers leave or short working hours.

Yes i am agree about workers should be a short working hours for their mental haelth and physical fitness.

Longer weekend does not mean 4 or 5 days it should be a maximum 2 days .

There are so many reasons for short working hours and long weekend .First if they work long and full week its not good for their health and if their health is not good they do not work properly and its really effected on our country because labour is very important in all fields if it is farming if it is industrial department if it is agriculture or what they are .We should not harm their mental health due to the burden of work because if they worked in peacefull environment they work with heart and earn more and its really important for our society. Now a days peaple worked overtime due to the lack of financial reasons but they should not work more than nine hours

In my knowlege people they worked short week they are happier than others its also has disadvantages but I am not discussing about disadvantages.

From my experience there are many examples but i m telling you only someones:

In my past few years i worked as a internee and they gave me a work alot and this was not good effected on my health i sick most of the days in week and i think its not good for health and job.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear position in favour of shorter working hours and a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons, including workers’ health and the importance of labour to society. The account of your internship also provides a personal example. However, the response only partly develops the task: it does not explain clearly how a shorter working week would work or why a two-day weekend is the right arrangement. Some claims, such as workers being happier or earning more in a peaceful environment, are asserted rather than supported. You briefly acknowledge disadvantages but do not explain them or show why your position remains stronger. Develop two or three main reasons with specific explanations and examples, and keep your position clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: you state your view near the beginning, give reasons, and then introduce a personal example. Basic linking words such as “First” and “because” help show relationships between ideas. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure, and several different points are crowded into one long section, making the progression difficult to follow. The transition from general claims to “In my knowledge” and then to your internship example is abrupt. Some linking is repetitive or unclear, and the final example is not connected back to your argument. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and example, and make each paragraph develop one main point with clear transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a limited but relevant set of vocabulary to discuss work, health, and society, including “mental health,” “physical fitness,” “burden of work,” and “financial reasons.” These phrases help communicate your main concerns. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning less clear, as in “haelth,” “peaple,” and “effected.” Several expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “work with heart,” “work a lot,” and “short working hours” when discussing the length of the working week. Try to use more precise collocations and vary repeated words such as “work” and “health.” Proofreading spelling and choosing standard phrases would make your ideas easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “if their health is not good they do not work properly.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range of sentence structures remains limited, and complex sentences are often difficult to control. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently: “Yes i am agree,” “people they worked,” and “they gave me a work alot” are examples. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, particularly in the long sentence beginning “There are so many reasons.” Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and past-tense sentences, and divide long sentences into shorter, correctly punctuated units.
