Student answer (Band 5.5)

The time of workers in company doing their work should be reduced, and the time should given to the employee for their weekend will inceased. This make employee lazy and careless about their work, but it also provide them time to spend with family. As in my cases I partially agree with this statement.

Most of the cases in which the company taking more time of their employee to complete many task or projects. Which may help to meet their goals and targets thats help company to get more profit. Because when the workers are in the work field than production rate of goods in company will be higher and orgainisation able to earn more income. For instance, company like manufacturing whose income is totally based on the production of goods, will be benefitted by the time of workers in company.

On the other hand, if workers are getting more time for their weekend than, thay might able to takecare of their family as in emotional aspect and they also have time for their family. Additionally, employees are mentally happy, and feeling energetic which make them more productive which will be helpful for comany as well. For instance, workers are working for the well-being of their family, and when they got time to spend with family on weekend leads in the growth in ability to do work.

In short, if the workers need time to spend with their family makes them happy, which increases their productive, beside this if company taking the time of their workers than it will be beneficial for the company. So, because of these arguments, I am unable to differentiate in them which makes me partially agree for the above statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the question and give a recognisable position—“I partially agree”—with reasons on both sides. The discussion of company output and workers’ family time is relevant, and you attempt to support each point with examples. However, the position is not fully explained: the conclusion says you are “unable to differentiate” between the arguments, so it remains unclear what balance of shorter working weeks you actually support. Some reasoning is also under-developed. For example, the manufacturing point asserts that more time raises production and profit, but does not consider whether longer hours may reduce efficiency or whether shorter weeks could maintain output. State your position more precisely and develop each reason with a clear explanation or specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “On the other hand” signals the shift to the benefits of more family time, and “In short” marks the ending. This organisation helps the reader follow the main contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links and sentence fragments. For instance, “Most of the cases in which the company taking more time…” is followed by “Which may help…”, leaving the relationship between the ideas incomplete. The conclusion also repeats the two sides without resolving them. Use complete topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its claim, and make the final paragraph state the position established in the introduction.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “production rate,” “targets,” “productive,” and “well-being.” There is also some attempt to vary wording through references to workers, employees, companies, and organisations. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural—for example, “the time of workers in company,” “taking care of their family as in emotional aspect,” and “differentiate in them.” Spelling errors such as “inceased,” “orgainisation,” and “comany” are noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for working hours, productivity, and work-life balance, and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “if,” “when,” and “which.” This shows an effort to express cause and contrast, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “This make employee lazy,” “the time should given,” and “Most of the cases in which the company taking more time,” which show problems with agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. The fragment “Which may help to meet their goals” also needs to be joined to a complete sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and make sure each sentence has a clear subject and finite verb before adding subordinate clauses.
