Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that working week should be shorter and there should be longer weekend, I vehemently agree with the statement as it is very necessary to take rest because it puts your mind at ease; which will eventually lead to better work performance at any company. In this essay, viewpoints supporting the perspective will be discussed to draw a conclusion.
In detail, most of the employees work for nine hours everday, which is quite hectic. Longer weekends or more number of holidays would help them relax and their focus at work would significantly improve hence the work efficiency would increase. For instance, I used to work at Simpolo which is a ceramic industry; it was very tiring for me for come their and work for 8 hours daily, I took sick leave just before sunday and I got to rest for two days and when i came on monday, i was able to pitch clearly and work confidently infront of clients.
Another benefit is, the company would grow substantially if all the workers would be satisfied with their jobs. the more weekoffs and opportunitites are offered to employees for relaxing, the more ecstatic they would be, which will want them to work for the company and not for themselves and that would be significant step towards the future of the organization. To exemplify, Google is referred as best company in which a individual can work because they try to make their employees gleefull of their jobs and offer them with best amenities so work productivity would be increased.
To conclude, days for work should be reduced and weekends should increase, comparatively. I stand with the view because it is essential for a worker to relax in order to bring the best results.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I vehemently agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: rest may improve employees’ focus and performance, and satisfied workers may contribute to company growth. The personal example from your ceramic-industry job helps illustrate the first point, while Google is used to support the second. However, the support is uneven: the personal example is specific, but the link between longer weekends and employees’ commitment to a company is asserted rather than fully explained. The response also focuses mainly on benefits to workers and employers without clarifying what a shorter working week would involve. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation of how reduced working time produces the claimed outcome.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate benefits, and a conclusion that restates your view. The examples are placed alongside the relevant arguments, which helps the reader follow the discussion. You also use linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Another benefit,” and “To conclude.” At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence joins several ideas with commas, and “which will want them to work for the company” has an unclear reference and relationship. Some transitions, such as “In detail,” do not precisely signal the paragraph’s purpose. Use clearer sentence boundaries and make the links between each claim, explanation, and example explicit to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “work performance,” “work efficiency,” “satisfied,” and “substantially.” Some attempts at less common or emphatic language, such as “vehemently” and “ecstatic,” show ambition, but they are not always the most natural choices for this argument. There are also spelling and word-choice errors, including “everday,” “opportunitites,” “gleefull,” and “weekoffs,” as well as awkward phrases such as “pitch clearly” and “best amenities.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Prefer accurate, conventional collocations—for example, “concentrate effectively” or “employee benefits”—and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “because,” “which,” and “if,” and your main ideas are generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb forms. For example, the opening is a comma splice, while “a individual” needs the correct article and “the more ecstatic they would be, which will want them” has faulty agreement and an unclear clause structure. In “it was very tiring for me for come their,” the infinitive pattern and sentence construction are inaccurate. Capitalisation and punctuation also need attention, as in “the more weekoffs” after a full stop. Build complex sentences carefully, checking each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
