Student answer (Band 6.5)
In new modren world, the worklife balance is getting worse in some countries, people are working 6 days a week for more than eight hours. I strongly believe that people should get longer weekends and they should work only four days a week.
Giving longer weekends to the employee will be beneficial for both, the company as well as for the employee. It will reduce the stress which is caused by the non stop workload a employee feel during his working days. They will get more time with there family, specially individuals with children, they need to spen more time with there families which is not possible ehen they need to work almost whole week. It also develops a better relationship between company and the staff. A cool minded person can perform better than a person who is facing continuous stress and depression, and getting pressured by the seniors.
This is not a huge step, and some countries are already working on this, even better some countries are providing three days weekend to every worker. Finland is the prime example of perfect worklife balance country, it is also the happiest country of the world. In Finland, the new rule says that you need to work only four days a week, which means you will get h three days weekend in which you can spend the time with your family, travelling, developing new hobbies, or do whatever makes you feel good. Consequently, when you come back to work you will be giving your hundred percent.
In conclusion, providing longer weekend is very important in today's life. Everyone is facing mental difficulties in their working life, and long weekends can be a key factor for them to be the person they really are.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly support a shorter working week and longer weekends, and the conclusion reinforces this view. You address the main question with relevant reasons, including reduced stress, more family time, and the possibility of improved performance at work. The Finland example also helps illustrate your argument. These ideas are extended with explanations, such as how time with children may be limited by a six-day week. However, some claims are asserted rather than supported: for example, the statement that Finland’s four-day-week rule makes it the happiest country needs clarification or more reliable support. Develop the evidence and qualify broad claims to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs give reasons and an example, and a conclusion restates your position. Ideas generally progress logically from workers’ wellbeing to the Finland example and its possible benefits. You also use linking expressions such as “Consequently” and “In conclusion” to signal relationships between points. At times, however, connections within sentences are less controlled. The opening sentence joins two complete ideas with a comma, and the long sentence beginning “They will get more time” contains several points that would be clearer if separated. Use paragraphing and linking words as you do here, while making sentence boundaries and references between ideas more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss work and wellbeing, including “worklife balance,” “workload,” “continuous stress,” “mental difficulties,” and “developing new hobbies.” These choices make your main ideas understandable, and phrases such as “perform better” and “relationship between company and the staff” show attempts to express consequences and workplace relationships. Some spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “modren,” “spen,” and “ehen”; “cool minded” is also an unnatural collocation in this context. There is some repetition of “work,” “week,” and “family.” To strengthen your vocabulary, check spelling carefully, learn common collocations as complete phrases, and vary repeated terms with precise alternatives such as “employees” or “staff members.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “which” and a conditional idea in “when you come back to work.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. Examples include “a employee” instead of “an employee,” “They will get” after the singular “employee,” and “the new rule says that you need to work,” where the shift from workers to “you” is inconsistent. The opening also joins independent clauses with a comma, while “providing longer weekend is” needs a plural noun or an article. Review articles, subject–verb agreement, pronoun consistency, and sentence boundaries. Breaking up a few long sentences will help you show your ideas with greater grammatical control.
