Student answer (Band 5.5)
The days that the people spend working should be reduced and they should have a longer weekend. In my opinion, i agree with this statement beacuse it is important to be stressless in life, at least for three days in a week and spend some more time for themselves.
On the one hand, when people were given more holidays in a week, they will be adapted to the relaxed zone for even more longer days. This continues even after the holiday, For instance, A person have three days off in a week(friday, saturday and sunday). After sunday, still he wants another day off and he will become more lazier to do his work on monday. This happens when people are more attached to relaxed mode. There will be chances of people thinking that , if we keep today a holiday(thursday), we can get another extra day, like continuously four days we can get a longer weekend.
On the other hand, in todays world, technology is booming day-by-day, by increasing more work load for people. By having a continuous work pressure during weekdays, workers get only less holidays which is really unfair because people should have more day-offs, so that they can spend some time with their family members. Also, they can have some leisure time from that large work load in weekdays. For example, by having a little more longer weekend, he/she can relax themselves by sleeping more, this can improve their health conditions.
In conclusion, i believe that, working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend because most of the people have been very much stressed due to their workload from monday to friday, so it is important to have a longer weekend for their better health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you agree that the working week should be shorter because workers need time to recover and spend time with family. You address both sides by acknowledging that extra days off might reduce motivation, then explaining the benefits of rest and improved health. These are relevant points, but they are not developed equally. The concern that workers may want “another day off” is repeated rather than supported with a fuller explanation, while the benefits are illustrated mainly through sleeping and family time. To strengthen the response, explain how a shorter week could affect productivity or wellbeing, and give a more specific example. The response meets the task’s length requirement; 12 words copied from the prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion that restates your view. This makes the overall argument easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive: the first body paragraph returns several times to the idea that workers may seek an additional holiday, and the second repeats the need for time off without clearly separating the effects on family life and health. Some links are also awkward, such as “This continues even after the holiday.” Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and organise each paragraph around one main point with a specific supporting example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “work pressure,” “leisure time,” “workload,” and “health conditions.” There are also attempts to express less familiar ideas, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision. For example, “stressless” is not the natural way to describe a life with less stress, “relaxed zone” is unclear in this context, and “more lazier” is an incorrect form. “Day-offs” and “more holidays” are also less suitable than standard expressions for time away from work. Build a more precise range of topic vocabulary and check collocations and word forms; this will make your argument sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “if we keep today a holiday … we can get another extra day,” and your meaning is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur across the response. Examples include “when people were given … they will be adapted,” “A person have,” and “he/she can relax themselves.” Several sentences also run together, as in the opening and the example beginning “(friday, saturday and sunday).” Practise keeping tense consistent, matching subjects and verbs, and punctuating sentence boundaries. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
