Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many workers want there working week should be samller and the weekend of employes should be longer. I largely disagree with this statement. Due to this, our economy and the development of country will be strongly affected.

According to perspective, if the working hours of week become shorter and the weekend of employs extended then when will they do work moreover, how they achieve the targets on the given time of project which they assigned. In this way, that company instead all business where working hours short and weekend is long they will definitely lost their entire empire and become bank encruppted and soon come on road ke beggars.

The whole economy of any nation depends upon the corporation companies and other private sectors who is the natioal of that country paying taxes and give relaxation to employs to come office when they have mood also do leave how much they want, their company will face loss, affect the economy of state.

Futhermore, affect the develpment of one kingdom where that rule will order to less the working hours of week and enhance the weekend. The progress ratio will come down day to day, and other countries will grow faster than this territory. Therefore, stand on number one position in UNESCO ( united nations educational, scientific and cultural organization ).

Consequently, the working hours of week should not be shorter and not the weekend should be longer. Thats, totally wrong opinion to do this or think about this appeal. It will affect the country economy and progress ratio.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall position—“I largely disagree”—and keep your response focused on the effects of shorter working weeks. The points about meeting project targets, business performance and national development are relevant to the question. However, the argument is only partially developed: the claims that companies would “lose their entire empire” or become bankrupt are asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The discussion also treats reduced hours as if workers would simply do less work, without considering possible benefits such as improved wellbeing or productivity. To strengthen the response, explain the causal links and support one or two key points with a realistic example, while making your position and reasoning more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Its main line of argument—shorter hours may harm businesses and national progress—is generally traceable, and transitions such as “Furthermore” and “Consequently” help signal movement between points. However, progression is uneven: the second paragraph moves from project deadlines to business failure without clearly explaining the connection, and the third combines taxation, employee leave and national development. Some linking phrases are awkward or repetitive, including “According to perspective” and “In this way.” Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, develop it in a logical sequence, and use clearer references to show how each example supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “working hours,” “targets,” “corporation companies,” “taxes” and “development,” and you try to express consequences with phrases such as “the progress ratio will come down.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations and spellings make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “weekend of employs,” “bank encruppted,” “kingdom” for a country, and “stand on number one position in UNESCO,” which does not clearly express the intended idea. Repeated use of “affect” and “development” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of phrases for employment and economic effects, and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are expressed naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the working hours… become shorter… then when will they do work” and clauses beginning with “where.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “companies… they will definitely lost” has an incorrect verb form, while “companies and other private sectors who is” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check verb forms after modal verbs and ensure each sentence has a clear main clause.
