Student answer (Band 6.5)
The working week should be shorter, and employees should have a longer weekend. I strongly agree with this point of view.
Longer weekend provides many opportunities to the employees to improve their daily style. They can spend more time with their family. They can plan their weekend days for outing. In that way they can build a strong relationship together. A time for family gathering whether its about outing or just staying at home creates a positive affect among all family members. For instance, by spending more time together rather than using social media all the day may result in better relation.
Furthermore, after a stressfull and exhausting working days, every worker should spend atleast two off days. This helps to relax their nerves and it may help to improve their critical thinking and productivity for the upcoming days. Moreover, it helps to improve the sleep cycle which is definitely important for mental and physical health. For example, an employee who works five days a week, would be more energetic and acitve during working days, rather than that employee who has only one day to rest.
If i talk about the benefits for the company or orginization, after a long weekend an employees with the fresh mind, more productivity, punctuality and creative thinking can definitely work much better and may produce better results.
To conclude, long weekend provides more time to the workers to improve their physical health, provides better opportunities to spend time with the loved one's. Every organization should understand and implement this as a part of job to facilitate them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you strongly support a shorter working week and longer weekend, and you maintain that view in the conclusion. You address several relevant benefits, including family relationships, rest, health, and improved workplace performance. The examples—such as spending time together instead of using social media and comparing workers with one versus two rest days—help extend these points. This is a solid response to the task, although some claims remain broad: for example, the company benefits are listed rather than explained through a specific mechanism or example. Develop one or two key arguments further, and briefly acknowledge or answer a possible concern, such as reduced output or staffing costs, to make the discussion more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall progression: it introduces your position, presents personal and health-related benefits, considers employers, and ends with a conclusion. Paragraphing supports this structure, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” make the stages easy to follow. The ideas within paragraphs are generally connected, especially the link between rest, health, and productivity. However, several sentences repeat the same point about spending more time with family or being more productive, and the final paragraph largely restates earlier claims. Some links could also be more precise—for instance, explain how improved rest leads to better work results. Use referencing and transitions to connect ideas without relying mainly on repeated “They can” and “It helps” constructions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You communicate the main ideas using relevant vocabulary such as “critical thinking,” “productivity,” “sleep cycle,” and “creative thinking.” These choices show some range beyond basic everyday language. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “stressfull,” “atleast,” “acitve,” and “orginization” are misspelled, while “positive affect” should be “positive effect.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “improve their daily style,” “plan their weekend days for outing,” and “an employees with the fresh mind.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, but they limit the accuracy and flexibility of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for work, rest, and family life.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple sentences and longer structures, including clauses introduced by “whether” and “rather than,” and most ideas remain understandable. However, errors occur across sentence patterns and often make the writing less controlled. Examples include “Longer weekend provides,” which needs an article and agreement, “after a stressfull and exhausting working days,” where the number and article pattern are faulty, and “an employees … can,” which has inconsistent agreement. The sentence beginning “For example, an employee who works five days a week, would…” also has an unnecessary comma separating the subject from its verb. Capitalise “I” consistently and review articles, singular/plural agreement, and sentence punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentences clearer.
