Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support a longer weekend, and you give relevant reasons, including time with family and friends, improved mental health, and possible benefits to organisations and the economy. These points address the question, but some are asserted rather than explained. For example, you say that longer weekends help employees work “with full capability” and benefit an organisation, but you do not show how this might happen or give a specific example. The point about counsellors is also introduced without enough explanation of why longer weekends would be more effective. The response is 31 words below the required minimum, so there is less space to develop and support your ideas. Add a concrete example and explain the likely effects of a shorter working week.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from the pressures of work to the benefits of longer weekends, and linking phrases such as “However,” “Instead” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. Some connections are less clear, however. The counsellor point appears abruptly, and the relationship between a longer weekend and boosting the economy is not explained. The conclusion repeats the main position but does not draw together the supporting reasons. To strengthen progression, organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain it, and connect it explicitly to the proposal. Use referencing carefully so that phrases such as “Such things” clearly identify the idea being discussed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “hectic work schedule,” “mental health,” “quality time” and “beneficial for the longer run,” which helps communicate the topic. There are also attempts at less common or formal wording, such as “homosapien” and “capability,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural in context. Spelling errors such as “unpleasent,” “evidances,” “healty” and “guidence” are noticeable, and phrases such as “work for day and night” and “long weekend” are not consistently natural or precise. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main argument, but they limit accuracy and fluency. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some longer structures, including “Weekend should be longer, so that a person can spent time with family and friends” and “It can affect a company for short time period but beneficial for the longer run.” This shows an attempt to vary sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, however: “a person can spent” needs the base form “spend,” “each homosapien goal” needs subject–verb agreement, and “It can affect a company … but beneficial” lacks a parallel verb structure. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “Weekend should be longer” and “several counsellor.” Review verb forms, agreement and sentence completeness, then proofread punctuation and article use.
