Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many individuals believe that the working week should be short while others argue that employee should be give longer weekend so that they can spend time with their families. I firmly agree with this statement. My point of views are explained further.
To begin with, in recent times, workload is considerably higher on employees than had in the past. Employees not get enough time to spend with their families. As a result, gradually they are distracting from their families. Furthermore, they can not complete their important task due to their job hours. For instance, they can complete their pending work such as household chores, if they get a longer weekends. Moreover, they can improve their work life balance on weekend. In addition, they can reduce work related stress. For example, after working long weekend they are much stressfull by working long hours. Additionally, they can take enough rest, if they provided longer weekend.
In addition, they feel refreshed after a longer weekend. furthermore, they can concentrate better at work. For example, after a longer weekends people feel more refreshed than they have on working hours. Moreover, they reduce mistakes that they do on working hours and also enhance their work qaulity. For example, when they are on working hours, they get frustrated after too much work load and they make sily mistakes. After that companies may benefit from more productive employees.
To sum up, employees should be give longer hours because after weekend they get stressed and also they want to spend time with their family. Furthermore, they can complete their pending work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly agree”), and the response gives relevant reasons: more time for family and household responsibilities, reduced stress, and improved concentration and productivity. These points address the question, but they are not developed equally. The household-chores example is relevant, while claims such as “they can reduce mistakes” and “companies may benefit” would be stronger with a clearer explanation or a specific example. The conclusion also introduces a confusing idea by saying employees should be given “longer hours,” which conflicts with your argument for a shorter working week and longer weekend. Keep your position consistent and explain the cause-and-effect links more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally remain focused on the benefits of longer weekends. However, progression within the paragraphs is weakened by repeated points about feeling refreshed, stress and work quality. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “Additionally” are used very frequently, so the connections can feel mechanical rather than showing how one idea leads to another. Some references are also unclear, particularly “after working long weekend,” and the conclusion does not clearly summarise the main argument. Group related points together and use fewer, more precise transitions to make the reasoning easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “work-life balance,” “work-related stress,” “concentrate” and “productive employees.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the writing less natural. For example, “they are distracting from their families” does not express the intended idea clearly, while “much stressfull” and “sily mistakes” contain spelling errors. Phrases such as “longer hours” in the conclusion also do not convey your intended meaning. Build a more precise set of expressions for working time, rest and productivity, and check spelling and common word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “if” and “after,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and sentence structure appear in examples such as “employee should be give,” “Employees not get enough time,” and “if they provided longer weekend.” There are also problems with agreement and plurals, as in “a longer weekends,” and with articles and sentence boundaries. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow, although the overall argument remains understandable. Practise forming complete clauses with accurate subjects and verbs, and check agreement and singular/plural forms. Aim to make the complex sentences accurate before adding more variety.
