Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, many people believe that working week should be shorter and employee should have long weekend and i completely agree with this statement because it is good for employee health and work efficiency.
Firstly, long weekend is better for employees health because they can focus on their diet, exercise and enough rest after busy working days. Many people spend more hours at work, which can cause stress, tiredness and health problems. If they get extra off work days then they can spend mire time with their families, give time to their hobbies and take sufficient sleep. For instance, who work at hospital with have busy schedule, an additional holidays help them to feel relaxed and fresh.
Secondly, longer weekend can improve workers productivity. When employees get enough rest, then they can better concentrate and complete their tasks more effectively. Moreover, they may feel more motivated to work. For example, companies that provides flexible working hours may have happier and more active staff. However, some people believe that shorter working weeks can reduce company productivity and income. This may be true for some businesses but employees can manage their work through proper planning and time management.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that the working week shout be shorter and weekends should be longer. It can improve physical and mental health, also reduce stress and help better performance at work. In the long time, this changes create a better worklife balance and benefit both employers and employees.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both the benefits to employees’ health and the possible effect on productivity, and the hospital-worker example helps make the first point relevant. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others: the claim that extra days improve health is supported with several activities, but the productivity point relies mainly on a general statement about flexible hours rather than explaining how a shorter week would preserve output. The opposing view is acknowledged and answered, though briefly. The response is also five words below the required minimum, so add a little relevant development, such as a more specific example or explanation of how work could be reorganised.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the contrast introduced by “However” signals the counterargument appropriately. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. At times, though, linking is mechanical, and some references are unclear or awkward—for example, “This may be true for some businesses” could specify which concern is being discussed. Improve flow by connecting each example directly to the claim it supports and using pronouns and transitions only when their reference is unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “work efficiency,” “productivity,” “time management,” and “work-life balance.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “sufficient sleep” and “flexible working hours.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “mire time,” “shout be shorter,” and “In the long time” appear to be intended as “more time,” “should be shorter,” and “in the long term.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “give time to their hobbies” and “additional holidays.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, but more accurate collocations and careful proofreading would make the vocabulary more controlled and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex forms, including conditional structures (“If they get extra off work days then they can…”) and a concession followed by a response (“This may be true… but…”). The main meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and plurals in “working week,” “employee,” and “an additional holidays,” as well as subject–verb agreement in “companies that provides.” The sentence beginning “For instance, who work at hospital with have busy schedule” is difficult to parse because its clause structure is faulty. Review article use, agreement, and sentence construction, especially when introducing examples. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
