Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the current age, it is very difficult to find a great worker who play a crucial role to develop buildings. It is firmly believed that. the working days should be shorter, and the workers should have a longer weekend to enjoy more time with their families. Although there are lot of benifities of longer weekend, as it allow more time to relax their mind and enjoy crucial time of life with their loveons, so I am completly agree with this statement.

To sum up, it facilitate the workers to enjoy the real peace of their life, and their are considerable outcomes of longer weekend. Therefore, i am strongly agree with this opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear position in favour of shorter working weeks, especially in “I am completely agree with this statement,” and mention relevant benefits such as relaxation and time with family. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: these points are asserted rather than explained, and there is no specific example or discussion of how a shorter week would benefit workers. The opening reference to finding “a great worker who play a crucial role to develop buildings” is not clearly connected to the question. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, leaving too little space to develop reasons and support your opinion. Build two relevant reasons into separate body paragraphs and explain each with an example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation: an opening paragraph gives your opinion, and “To sum up” signals a conclusion. The reader can follow your general view, and phrases such as “Although” and “Therefore” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, there is no clear progression from a reason to its explanation or evidence; the conclusion mainly repeats the opening. The first sentence about finding a worker is also not linked clearly to the argument. Develop a separate paragraph for each main reason, use linking expressions to show how the explanation supports your position, and make sure each sentence connects logically to the next. This would create a clearer overall line of argument rather than a brief sequence of assertions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “working days,” “longer weekend,” “relax,” and “families,” so your main topic is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more expressive phrasing, such as “the real peace of their life.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts difficult to interpret: “benifities,” “loveons,” and “crucial time of life” are examples. “Great worker” and “develop buildings” do not express a clear idea in this context. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “work-life balance,” “spend quality time with family,” and “reduce stress,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your reasons clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence beginning with “Although” and a concluding sentence introduced by “Therefore.” The basic meaning of your position is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently. For example, “a great worker who play” needs subject–verb agreement, while “it allow” and “their are” also contain agreement or verb-form problems. “I am completely agree” uses an incorrect structure; write “I completely agree.” Punctuation is also inconsistent, as in “It is firmly believed that. the working days…” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them into controlled complex sentences.
