Student answer (Band 5.5)
To be honest ,I personally not have any point of view on this topic. But on the base of my general knowledge I agree with this .I agree with that the working hour should be shoter so that the worker have a longer weekend .This might have many benefits .But it do have many disadvantages we will talk about all of them .
The first benefit for the worker of having longer weekend is that they can spend more time with their familes and will become able to spend time with their love one .This will make the family system strong .Because all of them sit together and listen to each other .This would make them able to now much about each other .Instead of working all of their time and don't having time to sit with their love one .
This might have good impacts on their health .Because they might got time to spend on themselves and care about their self instead working all the time and be worried about the money .
The last advantage in my mind is that .It also have very great impact on the society .After getting much free time they might getout while their free time and sit with their society people .This will develop good relation between them .
The only reason if I disagree with this will be that .If their is anyone who have urge to work hard all the time this will be a big problem for it .As he might have the mind set to work hard and want to make his life better from where he is .This will become a huge hurdel in his way as he might get less time to do his work as a worker and earn much .
The last conculsion of it is ,This have many benefits and disadvantages which discussed on top

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a position in favour of a shorter working week and give relevant reasons, including more time for family, personal health and social relationships. You also acknowledge a possible disadvantage for people who want to work more and earn more, so the response engages with the question. However, the position is initially weakened by saying you have no point of view, and the discussion remains general: for example, the health benefit is asserted but not explained with a specific example or clear link to shorter hours. The opposing point is also brief and does not fully examine how a shorter week might affect workers. Develop fewer ideas more fully and state your position consistently from the introduction onward.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has separate paragraphs for family life, health, society and a counterargument, which gives it some organisation and helps readers identify the main points. Basic signposting such as “The first benefit” and “The last advantage” also indicates the order of ideas. However, progression is limited because the paragraphs often present claims without explaining how one point leads to the next. Several transitions are awkward or repetitive, including repeated uses of “This might” and “Because” to begin sentences. The conclusion merely says there are benefits and disadvantages “discussed on top,” rather than summarising your position. Use clearer links between claims and explanations, and make the final paragraph reinforce your main argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “longer weekend,” “family system,” “health,” “society” and “earn.” There are also attempts at less basic phrasing, such as “urge to work hard” and “mind set.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, for example “on the base of my general knowledge,” “love one,” and “huge hurdel in his way.” Spelling errors such as “shoter,” “familes” and “conculsion” are noticeable and reduce precision. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing work-life balance and employment, and check spelling and word forms carefully so your ideas are easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, such as “This will make the family system strong” and the sentence beginning “As he might have the mind set…”. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often produce faulty structures. Examples include “I personally not have any point of view,” “the worker have a longer weekend,” and “This might have good impacts… Because they might got time.” Subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries are frequently inaccurate, while spaces before punctuation and inconsistent capitalisation also affect readability. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using “because,” “although” and “if” with correct verb forms.
