Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays people often gets too much busy in their work, which sparks a debate about their working hours and long holidays. I strongle agree with the idea that working days should be shorter and companies needs to provide longer weekends.
The first primary reason is that, employees may get some extra time to spend with their families if the company provide some flexibility in their working time. Employees who are not able to manage or provide time to their families most often their relationships gets worse or marriages may ends up in the divorce due to lack of attention.Furthermore, short working hours are very mandatory for single parents specifically for divorced females or widows or womens who are in their pregnancy stage because it become too much difficult for them to prove time to their kids while doing house chores and working in the offices.
However, long working hours is also necessery because it may provide high productivity to company and employee may get a chance to achieve their career goals by getting bonuses , promotions or recognition from the boss.
To sum up, i support the statement that wrokers needs to get flexibility in their hours and loonger weekends because it may built strong and beautiful realtionships in the fututre and will have positive effect on a emplyee haealth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You state a clear position in the introduction—“I strongly agree”—and give relevant reasons, especially the effect of work schedules on family relationships and the needs of single parents. However, the response only partially develops the argument: the point about longer hours improving productivity and career prospects is introduced with “However” but is not explained or reconciled with your agreement. The essay also does not fully explore why the working week itself should be shorter, as opposed to offering flexible hours. The response is 220 words, below the required 250, so there is limited space to develop and support your ideas. Add a specific example and explain how each reason supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a main paragraph, a contrasting point and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “However” and “To sum up” help signal the direction of ideas. However, progression is not always clear: the paragraph moves from family time to several groups of workers, then shifts to the benefits of long hours without explaining how this counterpoint fits your overall position. Some sentences also contain several ideas at once, making the relationships between them harder to follow. Organise the body into focused paragraphs, each with one main claim, explanation and example, and use transitions to show whether a point supports or challenges your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “flexibility,” “productivity,” “career goals,” “bonuses” and “recognition.” This gives you a basic range for discussing work and family life. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, for example “Nowdays,” “strongle,” “provide time,” “very mandatory” and “built strong and beautiful relationships.” These sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; for instance, employees can “make time for their families,” and shorter hours may be “essential” rather than “mandatory.” More precise vocabulary would help you express the argument clearly without relying on broad phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if the company provide some flexibility” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries. Examples include “people often gets,” “companies needs,” “relationships gets worse,” and “marriages may ends up.” The long sentence beginning “Employees who are not able…” is also incomplete in its construction, while “attention.Furthermore” needs a space and clearer punctuation. These errors can make parts of the response difficult to follow. Practise subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences from accurate clauses before adding further detail.
