Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe that the working week should be shorther and workers should have a longer holidays. I disagree with this idea because in many countries people already have two days off at the weekend. Now we discuss about why long weekend not important.
On the one hand, weekend is important for all of us. People feel fresh and active in weekend. Similarly, people also get time to spend with their families. Our body also need small break after weekdays. In many countries have 2 days off on weekend after every week. I think weekend is the right of every person even businessman also need weekend to enjoy with family. In week days we are very busy in work so we have no time to spend with families. That's why weekend is the best thing that give free time to all of us to spend with their families.
On the other hand, long weekend has many disadvantages. If we increase the days in weekend than the remaining days are not enough to complete the work. I think two days weekend is maximum for all of us. For Example, many people not like to do work after weekends. Monday is very boring and irretating day for all the employees because we not like to do work after this enjoyment. As a result, i think longer weekend have many disadvantages for all of us.
In conclusion, weekend is importand for all the workers because it make over mind fresh and we also spend time with our families. However, longer weekend has many disadvantages because if we increase the days in weekend than the remaining days are very fiew for work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is identifiable: you disagree with a longer weekend, and you mention that workers need time with family as well as the risk of having fewer days to complete work. These points are relevant, but the response only partially develops the task. The opening says “long weekend not important,” while the body first argues that weekends are important, so the distinction between supporting the current weekend and opposing an extension needs to be made clearer. The claim that remaining workdays would be insufficient is repeated but not supported with a specific example or explanation. Develop your main reasons more fully and keep your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad structure. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several sentences repeat that weekends allow family time, while the second body paragraph moves quickly from fewer workdays to Monday feeling boring. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, including “Now we discuss about why long weekend not important,” which does not clearly introduce the argument. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain it in sequence, and use references and transitions that show how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the main topic, including “weekend,” “employees,” “families” and “disadvantages.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “spend time with families” and “long weekend.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “longer holidays” for a longer weekend, “fresh and active in weekend,” and “irretating day.” Spelling errors such as “shorther,” “importand” and “fiew” also make the writing less clear. Build a wider set of precise phrases for work schedules and rest, and check spelling and common word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most sentences use simple patterns, and you attempt some longer structures with “because,” “if” and “as a result.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “Our body also need,” “In many countries have 2 days off,” and “longer weekend have many disadvantages,” where agreement or sentence structure is faulty. Articles and prepositions are also often missing or inaccurate, as in “in weekend” and “in week days.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and prepositions. Vary sentence forms only after the basic structures are reliable.
