Student answer (Band 5.5)

I firmlt agree with given statement that is working week should be shorter and working people shopuld have a longer weekend.it has been observed that long working days working days put pressure on human beings.if the weekend will be long the feel relaxed and work in a better ways.

when people have long weekend they will get better health and physically they will become healthy. As well as they will get more time for their families and in this way relations become stronge worker become relaxed.four days working weeks instead of five days empoyees having three days off and workers having time for exercises and hobbies.

In addition workers productivity increase when they have long weeekend.well rested employes work more effieciently.thir concentration and creativity will improve when they work alter relaxed days.At work place they reduce mistakes and complelete their task in less time.In this way companies make great progress.and worker who perform good get more oppertunities.

There are also some disadvantages of long weekend

like in hospitals longer weekends for doctors can be cause many problems for patiens on the other hand long day off also not good for bank saff because economy of country can be face fanancial problems in this way long weekend also have some disadvantages.

to conclude the discussion i can be said that despite its disadvantages my reason to explain benefits are acceptable because it has many benefits as campere to disadvantage.so worke palce should have balanced time table.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear from the opening: “I firmly agree,” and you give relevant reasons, including workers’ health, family time, productivity, and possible effects on hospitals and banks. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples or developed reasoning. The disadvantages paragraph raises a relevant counterpoint, but the link between longer weekends, hospital staffing, and economic problems is not fully clarified, and the conclusion does not weigh these concerns in detail. The response therefore addresses the question only partially, with ideas that remain limited or under-developed. It is also six words below the required minimum, so add a little more relevant explanation—especially a concrete example—and make your final position more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined mechanically with “As well as,” “In addition,” and “In this way.” Some links do not show the precise relationship between claims; for example, the move from doctors’ weekends to problems for patients and then to the country’s economy needs clearer explanation. Punctuation and paragraph boundaries also make parts difficult to follow. To improve, organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in a logical sequence, and use linking phrases only when their meaning is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “productivity,” “concentration,” “creativity,” “mistakes,” and “opportunities,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, such as “long weekend” and “workers.” Frequent spelling errors—including “effieciently,” “patiens,” and “oppertunities”—and inaccurate word forms or collocations sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. For instance, “workers productivity increase” and “longer weekends for doctors can be cause many problems” are not natural expressions. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing work-life balance and employment, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express reasons and consequences using clauses such as “when they have long weekend” and “when they work alter relaxed days,” but the range of sentence structures is limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries occur frequently: “the feel relaxed,” “workers productivity increase,” and “companies make great progress.and worker” are examples. These problems sometimes obscure who is doing what or how ideas connect. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled “because,” “when,” and “although” clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, articles, and full stops between complete sentences.
