Student answer (Band 5.5)

The working time should b short and also workres should spend a long time un their weekend . I strongy agreed with this statement that the workers should have to spend a longer weekend .

Firstly, the working time period in a week should be short .This is because the workers can work properly and efficiently after a long weekend .Therefore, the workers can do their work with fresh mind and they work better after a long weekend .For example , one of my relative worked in a company for only three days in a week . After spending some time he became a very helpful and best worker in his company .There are also a lot of benifits ,having a long weekend.

secoundly , the workers need emotional sport and also some intention of their family .This is because , their is a need of every men and women that they spend their time with their family and kids . It provides mental relaxition and sport from their family . For example , one of my friends worked at home living with their family .So, his mental and physical health is hundred percent ok . From my prospective , this is a big reason to having a long weekend .

Overall ,it is clear that having a longer weekend is very useful and convienent for all workers .It provides freshness and interest in their works and also provides better physical and mental health . Therefore , I strongly belive that having a longer weekend is very important for every worker

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you strongly support a shorter working week and longer weekends. You give relevant reasons, including improved work performance and time with family, and add examples about a relative and a friend. This addresses the task, but the ideas are not developed equally or fully. The relative’s three-day schedule is relevant, yet you do not explain what made the person more effective or how this supports shorter weeks generally. The friend’s example focuses on working at home rather than directly comparing working-week length. Explain the link between each example and your argument, and consider acknowledging a possible drawback, such as how employers could maintain productivity.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs, and a concluding summary. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “secoundly,” and “Overall” help readers follow the main stages, and the examples are placed alongside the relevant reasons. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, connections within paragraphs can feel mechanical, particularly the repeated “This is because” and “For example,” while the transition from family support to the friend’s home-working situation is not fully clear. Some references, such as “their” in “their family,” are also difficult to follow. Use a wider range of linking methods and make the relationship between each example and claim explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “efficiently,” “mental and physical health,” and “longer weekend.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response less clear or natural. Examples include “emotional sport” where you appear to mean emotional support, “mental relaxition,” and “convienent.” Phrases such as “fresh mind” and “interest in their works” are also not natural collocations in this context. Build a bank of accurate expressions for productivity, wellbeing, and family life, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express the argument without relying on repeated general terms such as “good” or “important.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause in “This is because the workers can work properly” and a relative clause in “one of my relative worked in a company.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “I strongly agreed” does not use the appropriate present-tense form for your current opinion, and “their is a need” has an incorrect subject–verb form. Other examples include “one of my relative” and “a need of every men and women.” Several sentences also have awkward clause construction, such as “a big reason to having.” Practise accurate basic patterns first, then use complex clauses with careful checking.
