Student answer (Band 5.5)
The working week days should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. I agree with this statement because of spend quality time with family and learn new skills.
One of the main reason for my approval that is give some time to family. This is due to the fact that when people spend all time in workplace then they have no time to spend their family. If they have longer weekend then they can go outside with their family and make their strong relationships. In addition, they give some time to their health like doing exercise and follow healthy diet. Its beneficial for their work because they can give their best to work. For instance, In Mumbai, most of people who do work in big companies their boss give long weekends to their employees when they work best because they understand their personal life.
Another significant point in its favour is the learn new skills. This means that if worker have some long weekend then they can improve their personality. They can learn new skills and they do not stuck in one job. Also, if they have some free time they can explore new places and improve their communication skill and invent new things with help of exploration. Therefore, people become more confident and improve their personal development.
To conclude, if people have some long weekend its beneficial for their personal life because they can spend great time with their loved ones and they can learn new things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I agree”) and conclusion, and you give two relevant reasons: more time for family and opportunities to learn skills. The family paragraph includes some explanation and an example, while the skills paragraph is less fully developed; for instance, “improve their personality” and “invent new things” are asserted without showing how a longer weekend would lead to these outcomes. The response is also 10 words below the 250-word minimum, with 10 words copied from the task prompt excluded from the count. Develop the second reason with a specific example and ensure the response meets the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “For instance,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This means that if worker have some long weekend then they can improve their personality” does not clearly explain the link between extra time and personal development. The Mumbai example is also difficult to follow because the relationship between employees working well and bosses giving long weekends is not fully explained. Make these links explicit and use pronouns and transitions carefully so the progression feels more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including phrases such as “strong relationships,” “healthy diet,” and “personal development.” There are also attempts to express ideas beyond basic family and work vocabulary. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which limits precision: “improve their personality,” “do not stuck in one job,” and “invent new things with help of exploration” do not express the intended ideas naturally. “Long weekend” is repeated often, and “give some time to family” is also awkwardly phrased. Build a more precise range for discussing work-life balance, leisure, and skill development, and check that each phrase fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they have longer weekend then they can go outside with their family.” This shows some range, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “One of the main reason,” “if worker have,” and “they do not stuck”; these should be “reasons,” “a worker has,” and “they do not get stuck.” There are also missing articles in phrases such as “have longer weekend.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, while varying sentence structures without making them difficult to control.
