Student answer (Band 5.0)
Today, Some lazy people argue that the working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend. Consequently, they want to relax or enjoy more then this busy weekdays. As a hard working person i completely disagree with that statement because if you more relax then work you are not able to become rich as your dream.
To begin with the consequences of disagrement. Short working weeks has alot of financial and envirnomental problems. it will effect our economy and disable as to become the rich and respected society. The main disadvantage of this is that it also effect our envirnoment when the cleaners, public transport drivers and truck egence workers take more rest then work. The hard work is a pilar of society which make it strong, dearful and respectful.
For instance, if the labour work for short time let supose three days a week they will constracte a road or a building with minimum in 10 years which effoect our society and economy directly. By contrast, if the labour work whole the week the construct the building or a road in maximum 3 to 4 year which is large period of time to constract a road or building.
In conclusion, the hard working people of the society are those people who must become a respected and rich person in their society where they are living. So, the government should must support the hard workers and allowed them to work more and more to develop the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with a shorter working week, and you give a relevant example about construction taking longer if workers work fewer days. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because the reasons are limited and not fully explained. Claims that shorter weeks would harm the economy or prevent people from becoming rich need clearer links and support; the discussion of cleaners and transport workers is also brief. The conclusion shifts towards government support for people to “work more and more” rather than directly weighing the proposed longer weekend. The response is 237 words, so it is 13 words below the 250-word minimum; the 13 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop one or two reasons with specific explanation and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a body paragraph, an example, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “To begin with,” “For instance,” and “By contrast” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear: the opening moves from wanting more rest to becoming rich, while the body combines economic and environmental effects without explaining how they connect. Some linking is inaccurate or repetitive, and the construction example is difficult to follow because its comparison is not clearly framed. Paragraphing is present, but the argument would be easier to track if each paragraph developed one main reason and the conclusion restated the position directly.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “economy,” “public transport,” “society,” and “consequences,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “more then this busy weekdays,” “disable as to become,” and “dearful,” while “truck egence workers” is unclear. Repeated use of “hard work,” “society,” and “rich” also limits precision. Choose accurate phrases for the effects you mean, such as reduced productivity or delayed public services, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your reasons clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use mostly simple sentence patterns and attempt some longer structures, including a conditional example beginning “if the labour work for short time.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. For example, “Short working weeks has” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “if you more relax then work” is missing necessary grammatical elements. Other issues include “the labour work whole the week” and “the government should must support,” where verb forms and sentence construction are not controlled. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then extend them with clear clauses using “if,” “because,” and “while.”
