Student answer (Band 6.0)
The debate is going on that the working period should be shorter and the worker should have a longer weekend. I strongly agree with this statement because this step provide better work life balence and provide better envoirment or social benefit.
One of the major reason is that this step provide better work or life balence because every empoloy have responsibilty of thier family and they want to spend time with their. It help them to reduce the stress or enxity and ater that the empoloy do better performence. For example, when the companies gives thier worker loger weekend the relationship between them could be more stronger and the worker do work as like family with better performence. In aditon, a short break from work could be helpfull for the mental and physical health of every individua.
However, long weekend prvide better envoirment for every society it is because the society needs postive individuals that's make a good society when they get loger weekends so this make helpfull for reduce the anxiet and stress. Moreover, this step have many social benefits like low trafic that make cause for the noise and air pollutions. For instance, when the empoloyes on longer days off they use less transport and this helpful forlower corbon. Therefor, this step can be beneficial for both envoirment and worker.
In conclusion, longer periond weeken have a lot o bebefit envoirmently and sociallly it provides better work life balence that make helpul for both company and empoloyes because when the workers have mently and socially stayable they perform better task.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I strongly agree,” and the response gives relevant reasons concerning family time, stress, health, and environmental effects. The conclusion also returns to the view that a longer weekend benefits workers and companies. These points address the question, but they are not developed equally: the family and stress argument includes an example, while the environmental point is asserted more briefly, and the link between fewer commuting days and lower pollution could be explained more fully. Some claims, such as stronger relationships between workers and companies, are also unclear. To strengthen the response, explain the cause-and-effect behind each reason and use a specific, relevant example to support it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate benefits, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “In addition,” “However,” and “Moreover” help signal the development of ideas. The overall progression is understandable, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. “However” introduces another supporting reason rather than a contrast, and phrases such as “this step” and “this make helpful” do not always make the reference or relationship between ideas clear. The conclusion repeats several points without bringing them together precisely. Use connectors that reflect the actual relationship between ideas, and make each paragraph’s main point explicit before explaining and supporting it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “responsibility,” “social benefits,” “air pollution,” and “mental and physical health.” However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable throughout, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “balence,” “envoirment,” “empoloy,” and “performence”; these errors recur rather than appearing as occasional slips. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “perform better task” and “longer period weekend.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, especially for work, wellbeing, and environmental effects. Replacing repeated general phrases such as “this step” with precise references will also make your meaning clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when,” and “that,” and the reader can generally follow your main ideas. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, and articles occur often enough to cause difficulty. For example, “this step provide” needs subject–verb agreement, while “every empoloy have” and “the companies gives” also show agreement problems. In “they want to spend time with their,” the sentence is incomplete because the object is missing. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each sentence has a complete structure and consistent agreement.
