Student answer (Band 5.5)
As a result of some inconvenience, the working days should be reduced and workers should have an extended weekend. In this essay I will diagreeing that workers need an extended period from work.
In recent times, most workers have been requesting for a longer weekend and a shorter working day, finding it valid that their working days are stressful and time cosuming but,it's also their own source of income and if the days are reduced,so will the income be reduced which may not cater for their basic needs or family because,of the bad economy. It is advised to leave the working days as it is,as most people won't be able to cope with it.Also,it will affect the society as there would be lack of services and marketing for the consumers if these working days aren't in section.Hovever, even when it feels inconvenient on the days of marketing there should be in between breaks to make it stress relieved for smoother concentration and a good working exprience.
Most people tend to loose focus easily during work due to overthinking, depression, unpaid bills,or family problems being dealt with. However, this is not enough reason to ask for shorter working days from the society. There are other alternatives to such problems that can be fixed through counselling and mental wellness, this likewise shouldn't be taken for granted and the workers should be treated better by the society and at work.
In Conclusion, the normal working days and weekend should be maintained as it may cause more harm to the society than the good which is being more focused on.Therefore, the workers should endeavour to attend to their busy days as agreed with their employee. If any need arises for a leave or a period of break it should be written to their boss for proper handling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is broadly against a shorter working week, and you give relevant reasons: reduced income could make it harder to meet basic needs, and fewer working days might affect services. You also mention stress and suggest counselling or breaks as alternatives. However, the opening is confusing: “As a result of some inconvenience” seems to support a shorter week, while the next sentence says you disagree. Several points are asserted rather than explained, especially the claim that society would lack services and marketing. Develop one or two reasons with a clear example, and state your position consistently from the introduction through the conclusion. This would make the response address the question more fully and make its argument clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs generally group related ideas. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from income to services, then to breaks, without clearly showing how each point supports your position. Linking words such as “Also,” “However,” and “Therefore” are used, but some connections are unclear or mechanical. For example, “However, this is not enough reason” does not clearly connect the discussion of workers’ personal problems to the earlier argument. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main reason, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “source of income,” “basic needs,” “counselling,” and “mental wellness.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument harder to understand. For instance, “working days are stressful” does not express the idea of long hours clearly, while “marketing for the consumers” and “in section” are difficult to interpret in context. There are also spelling errors such as “diagreeing,” “time cosuming,” “Hovever,” and “exprience.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully; this will help your ideas come across without requiring the reader to infer your meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, but complex sentences are often difficult to control, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. The opening phrase “I will diagreeing” has an incorrect verb form, and “if the days are reduced, so will the income be reduced” has an awkward and faulty parallel construction. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: several sentences run together, as in “weekend. In this essay,” and commas are often placed before or after clauses in ways that interrupt the meaning. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses and check verb forms, articles, and punctuation.
