The diagram below shows how a biofuel called ethanol is produced.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The diagram below illustrates the method of manufacturing of a biofuel named ethanol.
To summarize, the energy from nature make plants to grow that can be harvested to produce cellulose, after further processing sugar is made; with the addition of microbes, ethanol is produced which is used in vehicles to produce carbon dioxide.
The energy gained from sunlight and carbon dioxide consumed by plants which cause their development and growth. After they are fully grown, they are harvested by farmers with the help of several machinery. In addition, the harvested plants go through pre-processing for the production of the cellulose. Further processing is done to make sugars then this sugar is added with microbes to produce ethanol. This produced ethanol is used in various vehicles such as airplanes, cars and trains for travelling. The carbon dioxide produced from these vehicles release in the air which is again used in the production of energy. this process is a repetitive process that goes on for the advantage of individuals.
