The diagram below shows how a biofuel called ethanol is produced.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

the diagram illustrates the procedure of producing biofuel named as ethanol. At a glance, Carbon dioxide released by vehicle also contributes in the production of ethanol subsequently.

To begin with, trees absorbs sunlight and carbon dioxide from atmosphere and being harvested once they grew. Directed towards pre-processing for the extraction of cellulose. Furthermore extracted cellulose undergo chemical process for receive a sugar out of it. Ultimately, ethanol is produced after the addition of essential microbes with sugar, which is used in vehicle for mobility. Eventually, carbon dioxide released by vehicle reabsorbed by trees and plants for further production of biofuel.

Overall, the production process of ethanol contains several steps and chemical procedures which works in a repeating pattern.
