Student answer (Band 6.0)
Saving money is the crucial part of our lives which can help us in our future. Some people believe that saving money in your young life can help at future. I agree with the statement.
One of the main reasons why saving moeny is important is that it provides financial support during unexpected situations. Life is unpredictable, and people may face emergencies such as medical expenses or other family problmes. It will allow you to deal with such things that can suddenly happen in your life. For example: Someone is saving money from his mothly expenses and he faces a health related problem consequently he can easily address the issue that he will face. Moreover, Saving money can help to manage your monthly expenses.
Furthermore, another important reason is that saving money allows someone to fulfill their personal and professional dreams. For Instance, someone is planning for study abroad he can easily carry his dream if he has enough savings. Saving money can also helps you to avoid spending unnecessary money. Many individuals want to start a business or buy their own house. However, these goals require a significant amount of money. If people start saving their early years, they can gradually build enough funds to make these dreams possible. This financial discipline can benifit them throughout their lives.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that saving money is essential for everyone, including young people. It not only provides protection against unexpected financial problems but also helps individuals to achieve their future ambitions. Even a small amount of saving regularly can make a significant difference overtime.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I agree with the statement”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the importance of saving for both emergencies and future ambitions, with relevant examples such as medical expenses, studying abroad, starting a business and buying a house. This gives the response a solid, relevant foundation. To develop the argument further, explain more precisely how saving benefits young people in particular, rather than relying mainly on examples about people in general. Some points are also asserted rather than fully explored: for instance, the claim that saving helps manage monthly expenses could be explained or linked more clearly to your main argument. More specific reasoning and development would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from financial protection to achieving goals is logical, and signposts such as “Furthermore” help show the relationship between the main points. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward, including “Moreover” and “For Instance,” and the example beginning “For example: Someone…” is not smoothly integrated into the paragraph. The sentence about managing monthly expenses also feels disconnected from the emergency example. Improve cohesion by linking each example explicitly to the point it supports and varying transitions, while ensuring that references such as “it” and “such things” have clear antecedents.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial support,” “unexpected situations,” “significant amount,” “financial discipline” and “future ambitions.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show some range beyond basic terms. However, several spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural expressions reduce precision: “moeny,” “problmes,” “mothly,” “benifit” and “overtime” (for “over time”). Phrases such as “saving money in your young life” and “carry his dream” are also not idiomatic, while “health related problem” would be more naturally expressed as “health-related problem.” Aim for accurate collocations and proofread spelling; this will make your vocabulary more natural and precise without changing your ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional sentences (“If people start saving their early years, they can gradually build enough funds”) and a relative clause (“goals require a significant amount of money”). Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “Saving money can also helps you” has incorrect verb agreement after “can,” and “someone is planning for study abroad he can…” needs a clearer sentence boundary or a linking word. The opening phrase “the crucial part of our lives” also needs an article adjustment, and “If people start saving their early years” is missing a preposition. Work on modal verb patterns, articles, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to use varied sentence forms.
