Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position in favour of saving and give two relevant reasons: money can help meet healthcare costs in later life, and savings can support investments and personal goals. The examples of buying medicine and property make these points more concrete. However, the discussion remains general, and the investment point is not fully explained—for instance, you could show how saving helps young people reach a specific future goal. The opening says you will discuss the benefits rather than directly stating how far you agree, so your position could be clearer from the start. The response is also six words below the required minimum. Develop the reasons further and include a more explicit statement of your degree of agreement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs with separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In sum up” help readers follow the overall progression. However, connections are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “save the money so which they can used in future investments” does not clearly link the idea to the next point, and “moreover” is used where the relationship between ideas needs fuller explanation. Several sentences repeat the claim that saving makes life easier, which limits progression. Use clearer links between each reason and its consequence, and make sure pronouns such as “they” have an unmistakable reference.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “health care system,” “medical condition,” “investments,” and “living standard.” These terms show awareness of the subject, and the examples are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are awkward or repetitive, such as “make their life easier,” “save money for future,” and “bright future.” Some word choices also reduce precision: “gold investment” and “buy some properties” would be clearer in more natural phrasing. Aim to use a wider range of accurate collocations and avoid repeating the same expressions. For example, you could describe savings as providing financial security or helping people meet future expenses.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures with reasons and examples, but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “money play,” “they can used,” and “saving money … play vital role.” Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “it becomes main topic for debate” and “save money for future investments is best decision.” These problems sometimes make the reader pause, although the main message remains understandable. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and correctly conjugated verb, and check articles and singular/plural agreement. More accurate control of these basic patterns would make your longer sentences easier to follow.
