Student answer (Band 5.5)
Everyone should learn how to save money for their future. While some people argue that saving money is essential for the future , others think it is better to spend money on their wants. I firmly agree that everyone, including youg people, should save, although i accept that people also need to cover their everyday needs.
One of the most significant reason to save money is for emergencies in the future. Layoff in companies are very common in these days in many companies due to AI. Every individual should save money as a backup to secure yourselves for surviving such as pay their bills through the savings. For example, the company Rolustech in lahore had a lot of layoff due to facing the challenges. Most people among them faces the issues for living expense in the duration of getting the new job due to lack of saving . And some of them saved money on monthly basis , they did not face difficult in surviving and consume their saving for living expense
Another reason is that early saving builds a lifelong habit. This is because they can start their own business in future using those savings. For instance, a student who saves the money every month from school time , he can built the business in the young age by using that saving like buying a laptop or do setup for business. Although young people want to spend on their needs or sometime their enjoyment .
In conclusion, I firmly believe that everyone, including young people, should save money. This is crucial because savings protect people during job losses and help them develop the business.
Although spending on pleasure is also important, a balance between them and saving is necessary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you firmly agree that everyone, including young people, should save, while recognising that everyday needs must also be met. You address the topic with two relevant reasons—financial protection during job loss and the possibility of using savings to start a business—and give examples for both. The layoff example supports the emergency-fund point, although the company-specific details are not fully explained. The business example is relevant but less developed: clarify how regular saving enables a young person to meet start-up costs and why this is realistic. Your conclusion restates your view and acknowledges spending for pleasure, but the balance between saving and spending could be explained more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to identify. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links between claims and examples. In the first body paragraph, the shift from layoffs caused by AI to the example of one company is abrupt, and the final sentence repeats the point about surviving without clearly contrasting the two groups. The second paragraph moves from saving to business ownership, then adds a brief concession about enjoyment without integrating it into the argument. Use clearer referencing and connect each example explicitly to its main point; avoid relying mainly on basic transitions such as “Another reason” and “For instance.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “emergencies,” “backup,” “layoff,” “savings,” and “lifelong habit,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. There are also attempts to express specific concepts, such as saving to cover bills and using money to establish a business. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “secure yourselves for surviving,” “face difficult in surviving,” and “consume their saving.” Spelling and form errors such as “youg” and “layoff” used where a plural is intended also reduce control. Aim for more natural combinations and check word forms; for example, describe people as “supporting themselves” and say they “use their savings” for living expenses.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex forms, including a concession with “While” and a reason introduced by “This is because.” These structures help communicate your position and supporting points. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “One of the most significant reason,” “Most people … faces,” and “he can built.” The sentence beginning “Every individual should save money” also has an unclear construction after “such as,” making the relationship between saving and paying bills difficult to follow. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, as in lowercase “i” and spaces before commas. Review agreement and verb forms, and proofread each sentence for a complete, clearly connected structure.
