Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that saving is important, and you give relevant reasons involving education and future healthcare. The education paragraph explains how savings can cover university costs and help students concentrate, with an example of working during semester breaks. However, the response does not fully develop the task: the healthcare point is unfinished, and the promised discussion of “merits and demerits” is not followed by a balanced evaluation. The essay also needs a more complete conclusion that restates your view and draws the reasons together. To strengthen the response, explain how saving applies to people at different life stages and develop each example enough to show why it supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction followed by separate paragraphs on education and health. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence” and “Secondly” help signal the main points, and the education paragraph generally moves from the benefit to an example. However, some connections are mechanical, and the final healthcare paragraph stops before completing its example, leaving the overall progression unfinished. The introduction announces “merits and demerits,” but the body does not organise or compare both sides. Use clearer links that show cause and result, and ensure each paragraph has a concluding sentence. A final paragraph summarising your position would make the argument feel complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “higher education,” “financial worries,” “health crises,” and “health facilities.” These choices make the main ideas understandable, but the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “expansive” for education costs, “semester fee,” and “daily expanses.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “make saving” and “keep some amount in hand.” Aim to learn common collocations for finance and education, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you express your ideas naturally without relying on repeated forms of “saving” and “money.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “But.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “I am agree” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “all systems of body well work” has an unclear word order and missing grammatical elements. The sentence beginning “Because in young age…” is a fragment, and the final example is also incomplete. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
