Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the contemporary world, money plays a vital role in individual life, whether it is to have nice home, or cars, for further education, overall lifestyle of a person depends on it. Some says it is important for everyone including young people to save money for future. I absolutely agree with this statement, as saving is a great way to secure, future from an early age and it also make youngster independ earlier.
Savings are beneficial not only to elders but youngsters as well, since no one truly knows what hold in future, having some savings as safe side will always be helpful in hard times, and even if no such situation happened these can be used in accomplishing goals. For instance, children from high school starts saving money for their college as backup, and if they got scholarship, those funds can be used in buying other equipment or for accommodation, and if not got scholarship. They can still attend the college as they initially planned with the savings.
By start working earlier and saving money, creates a sense of independence and value of money in younger individuals. For example, if a person wants to get a playstation, he or she will work part time to save money by themself, instead asking for their parents. This, in the long run will definately be benefitial for them in making financial decisions in adult life.
In conclusion, I believe it is very important for young people to start savings for their future, as it will not only help them in accomplishing their goals, but also make them a better person with financial knowledge in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I absolutely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address the importance of saving for young people with two relevant reasons: savings can provide a safety net and help people pursue goals, while earning and saving can foster independence and financial awareness. The examples about college costs and buying a PlayStation support these points, and the response develops its main ideas rather than merely listing them. To strengthen the response further, explain the broader benefits of saving with more precision; for example, clarify how early saving habits can help young people manage unexpected expenses or plan for long-term costs. The college example is useful, though its scholarship scenario could be expressed more clearly. (12 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from financial security to independence is logical, and examples are placed alongside the ideas they support. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some movement towards more flexible progression. However, several sentences carry too many linked ideas, particularly the college example, where repeated “and if” clauses make the sequence harder to follow. Some linking is also mechanical, with “For instance” and “For example” introducing both body-paragraph illustrations. Use shorter sentences and clearer references, and vary transitions so relationships between claims and examples are easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “secure,” “accomplishing goals,” “sense of independence,” and “financial decisions.” These choices communicate your main points, and the examples make the meaning generally clear. You also attempt more specific expressions such as “as a backup” and “financial knowledge,” although some combinations are not natural or precise. For instance, “secure, future” and “make youngster independ” do not express the intended ideas idiomatically, while “beneficial” and “definitely” are misspelled. Aim to learn vocabulary in common word partnerships and check spelling and word forms. More precise terms for emergency savings and financial independence would help you express your ideas with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “since,” “if,” and “while,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and basic grammar are persistent enough to limit accuracy. For example, “Some says” needs subject–verb agreement, “By start working earlier and saving money, creates” has a faulty opening structure, and “if not got scholarship” is missing a correctly formed verb phrase. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “have nice home” and “youngster.” Some long sentences combine several clauses without clear punctuation, especially in the college example. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and then adding subordinate clauses; check agreement, articles, and verb forms during revision.
