Student answer (Band 6.0)
The habit of saving money is extremely important for everyone including the young people. I think every section of populace should keep some money from their paycheck as savings. This world is an unexpected place. We have no idea when an emergency or some unfortunate event occurs. Also, we dont know when an life changing oppurtunity comes in our life. So, we should have some savings to cope with emergencies or take benefit of oppurtunities.
Unfortunately, not everything happen according to our wishes . Many of us will face unexpected emergencies, diseases or some sort of mishap in the course of our lives. To handle them we need to have some financial savings and courage. Forexample, during covid-19 many people lost their jobs and their only source of income. And only people with some savings go through that difficult period with relaying on others help. Or I remeber, one of my best friend had an accident and need an emergency surgery. The surgery was very expensive but fortunately his father and uncle had some savings which helped in saving his precious life.
Like emergencies, oppurtunities also come knocking your door unexpected.
These oppurtunities can be an investment that can change the course of your life or some business idea that can break the shackle of 9 to 5. But to avail them you should atleast have some savings to invest or to fall back if business is going through hard or fails. Like, in 2020 the growth in crypto had benefited many and made many financial stable. But only people that benefited from it are the ones that have money to invest.
In conculsion, I fully agree and endosre saving money even as a young person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you fully agree that people, including young people, should save. You address two relevant reasons—preparing for emergencies and being able to act on opportunities—and support them with examples of job losses during COVID-19 and your friend’s surgery. This gives the response a clear, relevant argument. The emergency examples are more fully explained, while the discussion of investment and business opportunities is more general; the crypto example, in particular, would be stronger with a clearer explanation of how savings enabled people to benefit. To strengthen the response further, develop that second reason with a specific, carefully explained example and avoid broad claims such as suggesting that only people with money benefited.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs develop separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from emergencies to opportunities is easy to follow, and phrases such as “Like emergencies” help signal the shift. However, some linking is mechanical or repetitive, especially the repeated use of “Also,” “So,” and “Like.” The sentence “Like emergencies, opportunities also come knocking your door unexpected” functions as a transition but is not smoothly connected to the following explanation. Improve cohesion by varying transitions and using clearer references between claims and examples; for instance, explicitly introduce the crypto example as evidence for the investment point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “financial savings,” “source of income,” “investment,” and “emergency surgery.” These choices make your main ideas clear, and phrases such as “change the course of your life” show an attempt to use more expressive language. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, including “section of populace,” “take benefit of opportunities,” and “break the shackle of 9 to 5.” Spelling errors such as “oppurtunities,” “remeber,” and “conculsion” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural academic phrasing and check spelling carefully; this would make your vocabulary more precise without requiring unnecessarily complex words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if business is going through hard or fails” and a relative clause in “people that benefited from it.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. For example, “not everything happen” needs subject–verb agreement, and “an life changing opportunity” has an article error. In “one of my best friend had an accident and need an emergency surgery,” the plural form and verb tense are inconsistent. There are also punctuation and spacing issues, such as the space before the full stop in “wishes .” Review agreement, articles, and consistent past-tense narration, then proofread punctuation. More accurate complex sentences would improve control.
