Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You clearly agree with the statement and give relevant reasons, including emergencies, financial independence, buying a house or car, and leaving money for children. These examples show an understanding of the topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the reasons are mostly repeated rather than explained or supported in detail; for instance, the ideas that savings help in “bad time” and prevent difficulty are stated several times without showing how saving might work or why it matters especially for young people. The response also contains 244 words, six below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop one or two reasons with a specific example and a clearer explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response follows a broadly understandable sequence: it states agreement, gives reasons for saving, and ends with a conclusion. Some links between ideas are attempted through phrases such as “Because,” “In this time,” and “So according to my opinion.” However, ideas are presented as a series of short, repetitive statements, with no paragraphing to show the relationship between the main points. Connectors such as “Though” are used where the intended relationship is unclear, and references like “these money” make it harder to follow what is being discussed. Group related points into paragraphs—for example, emergencies and family support in one, and future goals in another—and use clear linking phrases to show cause and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “future,” “accident,” “dream house or car,” and “children,” so the main message is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “safe money,” “future,” and “bad time.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “usefull,” “releatives,” “dificulty,” and “begging,” which can make the reader pause. Some expressions are not natural in this context, including “hunt an accident” and “our safe money.” Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling; using terms such as “save,” “savings,” “emergency,” and “financial security” would help express the ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Most sentences use simple structures, and the reader can usually identify the intended meaning. You also attempt to connect clauses, as in “A person who safe money and suddeny he was died,” but this structure is not controlled, and the response shows frequent problems with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “we need to safe money” and “those people who not safe money” have incorrect verb patterns, while “the peoples we know these also not help our” is difficult to interpret because the sentence structure and agreement are faulty. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using reliable patterns such as “People who save regularly can…” and “If an emergency occurs, savings can…”.
