Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence. For instance, the mention of 'China' in the second paragraph is incomplete and does not serve as a coherent example. To improve, ensure you fully explore each point with clear explanations and relevant examples. Because the response is under-length, the depth of the argument is compromised, preventing a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and incomplete sentences. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion', the logical progression within paragraphs is often unclear. For example, the transition in the second paragraph is disjointed due to grammatical errors like 'better liberty -le, this is because'. To improve, focus on using cohesive devices to link complete, logical thoughts rather than just starting sentences with transition words. Paragraphing is present, but the content within the paragraphs lacks the necessary structure to guide the reader effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms such as 'enjoy life' and 'good/bad' concepts without demonstrating a range of academic or precise language. There are also several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'bigen' instead of 'begin' and 'persent' instead of 'present'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to financial management and personal development, and ensure that your spelling is accurate. The current range is sufficient for basic communication but lacks the precision required for higher-level academic writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'they does not enjoy'), sentence fragments, and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'financial strong' instead of 'financially strong'). While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb. Proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency will also help improve your accuracy significantly.
