Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the Modern world, saving money for the future is crucial for every individual including younger generation. I partially agree with the notion because it help to manage future expenditures, but it can also effect on the lifestyle of individuals.
Nowadays, prices of each and every product is rising day by day, which given clear sigh to us that upcomming time in full of expenses. Saving money help the people to tackle the future expenditure. For instance, saving small portion of money become a huge amount after a specific time period. So in the future, if any individual immediately need the financial support, then the saving money will help him/her as a aid. Saving money in a kind of future investment which gives several benefit like to tackle future expenditures etc.
On the other hand, it affects on their lifestyle because people will become habitual of money saving, so they will give preference to cheap goods in ordes to save the money. For instance, younger generation prefer to wear branded outfits, however to save money, they will give priority to cheap clothes which affect on ther lifestyle. also it will affect on their diet, because they will try to save money from alt things, so they will take the cheap foods, in result it will affect negatively to their health.
In conclusion, Saving money for the future have both merit and demerit. Positively, it will help them to face future expenditure but on the other hand, it will affect on people lifestyle. I beleive that money should be save for the future, but with balance approach to the present expenditure.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the benefits and potential drawbacks of saving money. You clearly state a position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument that saving money negatively impacts lifestyle by forcing people to buy 'cheap goods' is a bit simplistic and could be better supported with more nuanced reasoning. While the task is addressed, the ideas could be extended further to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but ensure that your arguments are fully explored rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear. For example, the phrase 'it will affect on their lifestyle' is repeated frequently, which makes the writing feel a bit repetitive. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'expenditures', 'financial support', and 'investment'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'give clear sigh' (sign), 'as a aid' (as an aid), and 'in ordes to' (in order to). Additionally, the repetition of 'affect on' and 'cheap' limits the sophistication of your lexical range. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and synonyms to avoid repetitive phrasing and ensure your vocabulary is used accurately in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'prices... is rising', 'Saving money... have both merit'), incorrect preposition usage ('affect on'), and missing articles. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and try to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures with greater accuracy.
