Student answer (Band 6.5)

Some people believe that saving money for the future is cruicial for everyone, including younger generations. I completely agree with this view beacuse young people should gain this behaviour in early ages so they get use to do this in their adulthood and nowadays world people cant predict whats gonna happen next to their country or economy so everyone individual should save some money for the future.

Firstly, younger generation should entegrate saving skills to their life because adulthood requires this ability in life. By not doing unneceseary purchasements and saving their weekly pays they can understand the nature of managing money and they might be more responsible about their future incomes. Some researchs in USA in 2025 showed that people who gain saving skills in their early ages are tend to make more sucesfull invesments be more whelthy in their adulthood.

Furthermore, in todays predictable world every human being should save money for the future use due to possible wars and economic crises around the globe. These bad events are the undoubtfull truth of the todays world and the individuals who are not economically prepared for these situations are witnessed very unkind conditions. For instance, when the wars between Ukraine and Russia started in 2021, vast majority of people had a chance to escape and started a new life in other countries by the help of their savings but the remained ones can not be able to pay for the plane tickets or expenses so they had to stay in the warzone.

In conclusion, many people think that having saving skills are very vital for both older and younger generations. I am completely agree with this statement beacuse the young people need to automitaze this behaviour of saving money and the people should do some saving for the possible disasters.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the importance of financial literacy for young people and the necessity of savings during global crises. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the mention of 'research in USA in 2025' is vague and lacks depth. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The response is well-structured and directly answers the question, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5, which is rounded to 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, although the referencing within sentences is occasionally slightly awkward, such as in the second paragraph regarding the 'remained ones'. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and the flow of the argument is easy to follow, justifying a Band 6.5, rounded to 6.5.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'cruicial', 'beacuse', 'entegrate', 'purchasements', 'sucesfull', 'invesments', 'whelthy', 'undoubtfull', 'automitaze') and some word choice issues (e.g., 'remained ones' instead of 'those who remained'). While these errors are frequent, they do not impede communication. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling and more precise collocations. The current level reflects a Band 5.5, rounded to 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement ('younger generation should entegrate', 'people who gain... are tend to'), article usage ('in todays predictable world'), and prepositional errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with missing commas in complex sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors is noticeable and prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. The control of grammar is sufficient for a Band 5.5, rounded to 5.5.
