Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you mention the importance of saving for future expenses and business investment, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of 'purchasing plots' is a good start, but it is not fully connected to the broader concept of financial security. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a clear, logical extension of your main point rather than repeating the same general idea about 'running a home' or 'surviving'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Moving on the first argument, is that...' and 'Another argfument is that...'. Additionally, the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed, making the progression of ideas feel repetitive. While the overall message is clear, the transition between the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'servive', 'thier', 'bussiness', 'mony') and some word-choice issues, such as 'modernisim' and 'muture'. You rely on a limited set of words, repeating terms like 'future', 'money', and 'save' frequently. To improve, focus on using more precise synonyms and collocations, and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic or topic-specific terms would help you demonstrate a more sophisticated control of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'people can brought', 'needed of citizens also increased') and incorrect verb forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the text. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips will help you achieve a higher score.
