To justify my stance to everyone should preserve their money. One key point is that, savings are essential for the future that helps individual to understand the value of money. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding financial security and financial literacy are relevant, though the development is somewhat superficial. For example, the mention of 'ancient time people store their money by digging the soil' is a weak example that does not effectively support the main argument. While the counter-argument regarding a 'narrow minded mentality' is relevant, it could have been more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The ideas are generally clear, but the explanation lacks the depth and sophistication required for a higher score. Overall, the response covers all parts of the task adequately.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'For instance', and 'On the other hand', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or forced. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between 'digging the soil' and 'motivate them to do more work' is tenuous. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the main arguments from the counter-argument and the conclusion. The overall structure is coherent, but the flow between sentences could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to convey their meaning clearly. However, there is a lack of range and precision. Phrases like 'paramount advice' (used incorrectly as a noun phrase) and 'critical consequences' (used in an awkward context) demonstrate limited control over collocation. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'financial management' and 'medical insurance', but the overall lexical range is somewhat restricted. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'life safeguard' instead of 'life insurance', which slightly impede the natural flow of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'there are some paramount advice', 'strong financial support help people') and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'to everyone should preserve their money'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear and the errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, the frequency of these slips indicates a lack of control over more complex structures. More attention to basic grammar rules and sentence construction is needed.
