Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of saving money. The ideas regarding financial security and future goals are relevant and logically extended. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the second body paragraph contains a sentence fragment ('Should also be taken into consideration') that disrupts the flow of the argument. While the main points are clear, the essay could benefit from more nuanced exploration of the 'young people' aspect mentioned in the prompt. Overall, the response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is slightly constrained by the brevity of the supporting arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'As a result,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, there are instances where the connection between ideas is mechanical or slightly disjointed, such as the transition into the second body paragraph ('One the other hand, When people save their money it is help people for achieving future goals. Should also be taken into consideration.'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the mechanical nature of some transitions prevents the flow from being truly fluid.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'financial security,' 'unexpected situations,' and 'social development.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'is a necessary for every individuals preserve money' (should be 'it is necessary for every individual to preserve money') and 'this many influence' (should be 'this may influence'). While the range is sufficient to communicate the message, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('it is help people'), incorrect word forms ('is a necessary'), and punctuation errors (unnecessary capitalization of 'Saving' and 'Having'). Additionally, there is a sentence fragment in the second paragraph. These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, though they do not typically impede the reader's ability to understand the core message. More attention to proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is needed.
