Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's world, saving money is significant for everyone , especially young people. it can have a positive impact on their future. In my opinion, I completely agree with this statement because saving money from an early age will be helpful for their future for many purposes for example building a house and treatment.

One of the main reason why i agree with this statement is that building a house. Everyone on the earth wants to have their own house. therefore they wants to build house . Money is very important for build a house . There has many expensive materials which are crucial elements for build a house for instance, sand , cement, metal, mirror , wood , paint and others need for permanent construction. people needs a prodigious amount of money instantly for continue their construction work if they have a savings from early age will be helpful that time.

Another compelling reason is that proper treatment . In other word medicine , doctor fees , medical test and operation are getting expensive. People are attracted to disease after a certain age . As a result they are not able to do their job. Without any job people can not earn money and without money they can not bear their treatment cost . Therefore , if they have had a savings they can use that for their treatment. Money will help if they save it from young age.

In conclusion , I completely agree with this view is that save money is important for everyone from young age. This is because without saving money people are not able to consumption a huge amount of money instantly for example building a house and also they will not get a treatment without money

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of saving money. The ideas regarding home ownership and medical expenses are relevant to the topic. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the discussion on building a house focuses heavily on a list of materials rather than the broader financial strategy of saving. While the position is clear throughout, the supporting arguments could be more sophisticated to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points, though it repeats the prompt's language rather than paraphrasing it.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One of the main reason', 'Another compelling reason', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'In other word' (should be 'In other words') and 'Therefore they wants to build house'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'people are attracted to disease' (should be 'people are prone to illness') and 'consumption a huge amount of money' (should be 'expend' or 'spend'). The repetition of basic terms like 'money' and 'house' limits the lexical variety. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in word formation prevent a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('they wants to build', 'people needs a prodigious amount') and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces missing before commas and periods. While the meaning is usually clear, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors and the limited use of complex structures indicate a need for more practice with sentence variety and grammatical accuracy. The errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader.
