Student answer (Band 7.0)
It is known as essential to save people's earnings, including younger generations for their future. I partly agree to the statement as although saving is nessesarily needed, they should get a chance spend their savings on life experiences and self-development.
On the one hand, saving money is a crucial habit for young adults for sooner independence and preventive emergencies. Life is unpredictable, anything can happen, like an accident or your car gets broken, saving can help a lot since you always have enough budget when you save for a long time. For example, a family member, perhaps your dad, got into an accident. If you had been saving for about months, years or so on, thats definitely enough for medical treatment. Another benefit of saving is it can build financial discipline and independence. When young people saves for a milestone, like buying a new car or renting an apartment, they will become less dependentmand moving out from their parents much sooner.
On the other hand, young adults should also spend their money for meaningful life experiences. A relevent example would be travelling. Spending some savings about one or twice a year might seems you hurt the budget but its worth it. In this age group, its best to travel to new areas as it helps to meet new people, understand the cuture, and much more. There are also consequences if your saving too much, like saving every penny possible. Being too obessed with money can reduce the fun because youth can hardly try new hobbies or any entertainment. Saving too much can also affect your mental health. Since if you use one source of water for everything for everyday, it would be very bad for help. So, i believe not the good things are always the best.
In conclusion, while saving money is vital for building independence and managing emergencies, I believe young people should not focus on saving too much. Therefore, young adults should aim for a balanced approach by maintaining a basic emergency fund while actively investing entertainment and education.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by presenting a clear position on the importance of saving while acknowledging the value of spending for personal development. Your ideas are relevant and generally well-supported, such as the examples of emergency funds and the benefits of travel. However, some arguments could be more fully developed; for instance, the comparison regarding 'one source of water' is slightly unclear and detracts from the point about mental health. To reach a higher band, ensure that all analogies are precise and that your supporting examples directly reinforce your main arguments without ambiguity.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in your argument. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by minor mechanical errors in referencing and sentence structure, such as 'Since if you use one source...'. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the transition between ideas could be smoother to ensure a more natural progression of thought. Overall, the structure is clear and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'financial discipline', 'unpredictable', and 'milestone'. There are some instances of awkward word choice or minor errors, such as 'nessesarily needed' (redundant) and 'investing entertainment' (should be 'investing in entertainment'). Additionally, there are occasional spelling errors like 'cuture' and 'obessed'. While these do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word choice and spelling to reach a higher band. Focusing on collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('young people saves', 'your saving too much') and punctuation slips ('thats', 'its'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of your message. To improve, pay closer attention to verb forms and apostrophes in contractions. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
