Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays this is advised that it is necessary for all indifferent young or old, to save their wealth for their future. I partially agree with that however some people disagree with this thought. This era is of very tough competition and high inflammation. With time world's population is increasing considerably on the other hand resources are not escalating correspondingly. As a result there are many threats to human population such as inflation, joblessness, poverty and crimes. In such unfavorable climate one should save resources for future. So that he and his associates could cop with challenges awaiting them. However other people reflect that most of the problems are due to panic. When individuals are not calm and always remain in fight or flight mode they would worsen the situation. If they are used to saving and hiding money it would affect the money flow mechanism. In this mechanism money is just a source for comfort for everyone in the society. When people spend their money in the market it circulates and come to themselves and everyone also. But when people blocks this money cycle it causes rise in inflation. Moreover they can suffer through hypertension. On the other hand if they disburse their capital they would enjoy a prosperous life would relax. I would infer both of these opinions are correct to some extent. People should be moderate between these two extremes. They should neither extravagance nor stinginess. They are expected not to expend their money in luxuries but to invest.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the necessity of saving and the counter-argument regarding economic circulation. The position is clear, although the development of ideas is somewhat brief. The argument regarding 'money flow mechanism' is an interesting attempt to provide a counter-perspective, but it lacks specific examples or deeper analysis to fully support the claim. While the task is addressed, the ideas could be extended further to reach a higher band. The conclusion provides a balanced summary, which helps to maintain a consistent position throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'However', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'In this mechanism' which refers back to a concept that could have been defined more precisely. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, the two main body points, and the conclusion, which aids the overall flow of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, though there are some inaccuracies in word choice. For example, 'high inflammation' is used instead of 'high inflation', and 'indifferent' is used incorrectly to mean 'regardless of'. Phrases like 'cop with' (cope with) and 'disburse their capital' show an attempt to use more sophisticated language, but the collocation is sometimes slightly off. While the range is sufficient to convey meaning, the errors in word choice and spelling prevent the response from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'Nowadays this is advised' (passive voice misuse), 'he and his associates could cop' (subject-verb agreement/pronoun reference), and 'They should neither extravagance nor stinginess' (missing verbs). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that occasionally impede the flow. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the essay, and the complexity of the attempts shows a reasonable level of grammatical control.
