Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is essential for everyone, including young generation to save money for their future.

Over recent years financial saving is becoming a hotly debated issue in society .this issue is particularly significant due to its impact on society, affecting both individuals and society.I completely agree with this statement. In this essay i will present the reasons supporting my viewpoints and also address potential counter arguments.

A significant proportional of population argue that saving money saving money for future is not essential because they believe that future is not promised they did not know what will happen in the future and why would they save money for unexpected thing. For instance, they give the example of Alexander the great who conquered the most of the world known at that time die in an unexpected way.He did not even get a chance to rule the world he conquered ,that's why they people do not think about the future and enjoy their present .

From my perspective,i firmly believe that people should save money for future including things for upcoming things i completely agree with this statement the future is unpredictable but i firmly believe that precautions are also essentials. For instance, if a fell into the cancer and the treatment requires some high amount the person who save the money will overcome this challenge but the person who did not save any penny for this unexpected thing will get into some serious trouble and i will leads to some serious consequences.

In conclusion,i firmly believe that my viewpoint clearly supports my ideas.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide a counter-argument regarding the unpredictability of the future, the explanation is slightly repetitive and relies on a historical example that is not fully integrated into the context of personal financial planning. The supporting argument regarding medical emergencies is relevant but could be expanded with more depth or a broader perspective on financial stability. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the implications of your arguments rather than restating the position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is sometimes mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'For instance' and 'In conclusion', but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs are occasionally abrupt. For example, the shift from the counter-argument to your own perspective lacks a smooth linking phrase. Additionally, the punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'everyone, including', 'society .this'), which disrupts the reading flow. Improving the use of referencing and ensuring consistent spacing will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'save money' and 'unexpected thing' multiple times. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'if a fell into the cancer' instead of 'if a person were diagnosed with cancer'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and topic-specific vocabulary related to finance, such as 'financial security', 'emergency fund', or 'long-term stability'. The range is currently sufficient to convey meaning, but it does not demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('the person who save the money'), article usage ('the future is not promised'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. The lack of proper spacing after punctuation marks is a recurring issue that affects the overall presentation. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and punctuation prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately.
