Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is important for everyone, including young people, to save money for their future. I agree with it because it is a good thing and many peoples go through this and no living a good and safe life. If you save money from your young age you can invest it by time to time and after some years the young man wealth will be way more then the man who's not saving any money. It should be part of everyone's life to make their future better and if they want a good luxury lifestyle for their families in the future. Many people don't believe in savings at a young age because they want to live openly and don't care about any other things like their future and goals. They just live in the present and don't look at their future. This type of thinking can make man a better person. I do have a experience in this raleven't topic that I will love to share. I was 17, my parents gives me a pocket money of like 15k a month that I spend all on my games, food, and clothes. Now I'm 20 and i think why didn't i save or invested some of my pocket money? ,If I did at this time their would be a high chances of having good wealth. I'm currently doing a job right now and my living expenditures are not much as a student so right now I'm saving good money just for my future, because I'm the only one who have to take care of my family. I cant trust anyone, so we should take this step as fast as we can without wasting anytime. This provides you a good wealth for your future and at that age in which you can't do much work you can see your wealth and can have a break from this world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you provide a personal example, the arguments regarding the benefits of saving are not fully extended or explored in depth. The essay tends to over-generalize, and some points, such as the claim that saving makes a 'man a better person,' lack logical support or clear explanation. To improve, focus on providing more detailed, analytical reasons for your position rather than relying on personal anecdotes alone.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical or disjointed. Transitions are limited, and some sentences do not follow logically from the previous ones, such as the sudden shift from discussing general saving habits to your personal experience at age 17. The use of cohesive devices is basic and sometimes repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, central topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing like 'good money,' 'good wealth,' and 'good luxury lifestyle.' There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'many peoples go through this' and 'raleven't topic.' To improve, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary related to finance and personal development, and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations to ensure your writing sounds more natural and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'my parents gives me'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'if I did at this time their would be'), and punctuation errors, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and tense consistency.
