Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people think saving money is very important for everyone, including young people. I totally agree with this statement. In my opinion saving money for their future is very good habit in all ages. Saving money for their future gives security and helps people to dela with different problems.
First, saving money is helpful in emergencies, because life is full of unexpected situations like job, illness or accident etc. If people save money in their good time, they will use it in that time when they face those types of difficulties and did not borrow from others, this is also very good habit because standing on your own feet not becoming a burden on others. For example, A person who is going to their job on daily basis, unfortunately he will terminate from their office in some offence, if he saves money in that time when he went to their job daily, they will survive well in their future and starting their own business from that money.
Second, young people should also save money from their future goals like if he wants anything like cell phones, laptop or educational books etc. They will buy them easily from their own pocket money. For example, my friend Ali wished to buy a bicycle for their personal use, he will save money for achieved them after some time they will get it and after getting it Ali becomes very happy.
In conclusion, saving money for our future and for achieving our goals is very good habit. If we can save money in our good time we will fight easily against any kind of difficulty like illness, accidents or etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on financial security during emergencies and the benefits of goal-setting for young people. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding job loss is a bit simplistic and lacks nuance. While the main points are clear, the supporting arguments could be extended further to demonstrate a deeper exploration of the topic. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6 level, as the ideas are presented but not fully explored in a sophisticated manner.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a logical progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. Phrases like 'First' and 'Second' are used to signal the structure, but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs are occasionally abrupt. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the pronoun usage in the second paragraph ('he will save money for achieved them'). While the overall arrangement is coherent, the lack of varied and sophisticated linking words prevents a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks range and precision. The student relies on basic terms like 'good habit', 'very important', and 'very happy'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'he will terminate from their office' (should be 'he will be terminated' or 'he will lose his job') and 'for achieved them'. These errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a limited ability to use less common lexical items with precision. To improve, the student should focus on learning collocations and more academic synonyms for common verbs and adjectives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the flow of the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('he will save money... he will get it'), incorrect verb forms ('he will terminate'), and awkward phrasing ('standing on your own feet not becoming a burden'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often feels clunky. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. The student needs to focus on consistent verb tense usage and correct sentence construction.
