It is argued that people of all age group including younger individuals should save money for their future. While some people believe this is true, I agree with this statement because this will provide financial security and help to achieve future goals.
The primary reason why I believe in saving money is essential for future is that, saving money will provides individual financial security in unexpected situations. This is because sometime in emergency situations like illness, job loss and accident, this saved money will reduce the financial stress. For example, from saved money a person can pay his medical bills without any financial burden or after suddenly losing job a person can continue his study without disruptions. Therefore, emergency fund can help people to became a financial independent during unforeseen circumstances.
Another important reason is that saving money can help people to achieve their long-term goals. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement (242 words), which negatively impacts the task achievement score. While the ideas are relevant and supported by examples, such as medical bills and job loss, the development is somewhat repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more depth and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to avoid a penalty. The conclusion is a bit redundant, restating the introduction rather than synthesizing the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use cohesive devices like 'The primary reason', 'Another important reason', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. The flow between sentences is generally smooth, but the overall structure would benefit from more sophisticated linking words to connect the supporting examples more naturally to the main arguments. Paragraphing is used appropriately, which helps the readability of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'unforeseen circumstances', 'financial burden', and 'ambition'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'became a financial independent' (should be 'financially independent') and 'saving money will provides' (grammar error affecting lexical accuracy). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that word forms are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('saving money will provides') and article usage ('buying new home' instead of 'buying a new home'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the frequency of these minor errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring articles are used correctly before singular countable nouns.
