Student answer (Band 6.5)
It’s essentially for every individual, in addition of the younger generation, to keep money for their Future. In my opinion, I strongly agree with this statement.
Firstly, In this contemporary world, whereby money answers all needs, it’s essentially for everyone to keep money for themselves incase of unforeseen circumstances, which includes medical bills, job loss and so on.There is a proverb that goes like this, the money you save today, would save you tomorrow. With this proverb, it’s important that individuals keep down money from salaries , stipends or any other means of income to save themselves when the need to pay a bill arises. I can remember vividly, during my time as a student, I had a pressing need at a time which was Urgent, it was through my savings that I sorted out that need, rather than waiting patiently on my parents to provide the necessary assistance for me.
Secondly, when individuals save money adequately, especially young people, the amount of respect given to them from their peers, families and other people in the society significantly increases. When young people are able to cater for themselves, it leads to a level of respect in the society. In the sense that, the individual can now uphold few responsibilities seamlessly, without the need of your guardian or parent. This is because, it can be humiliating when you must get an assistance before affording something. Furthermore, saving from your income can greatly give persons more privileges and benefits in contrast of people who enjoy their salaries and have no savings. These benefits include, Vacations, numerous business class trips and being able to afford your wants and needs in time.
On the other hand, there are some individuals who have this saying, we leave only once, so enjoy your life to its full potential, party wild like an animal and keep no savings because anybody can be deceased at any point in time.
In conclusion, Despite, individuals verbalize regularly that we live once and there is no need to save, I still belief that money saved for the future, will save you from unforeseen circumstances and uplift your societal self esteem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the task and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding financial security and social status are relevant and supported by personal experience. However, the development of the counter-argument is somewhat brief and lacks depth. While the main points are clear, the explanation could be more nuanced to reach a higher band. The ideas are generally well-developed, but the connection between saving money and 'respect' is a bit subjective and could have been articulated with more sophistication to fully convince the reader.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, there is some mechanical use of these devices, and some transitions between sentences are slightly abrupt. For instance, the transition into the counter-argument paragraph is a bit sudden. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of cohesive links to connect ideas more fluidly within paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'unforeseen circumstances' and 'contemporary world'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'keep down money', 'party wild like an animal', and 'in contrast of people'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do highlight a lack of precision in word usage. To improve, the student should focus on learning collocations and more natural phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with prepositions ('in addition of', 'in contrast of') and articles. There are also issues with punctuation and sentence fragments, such as 'In the sense that, the individual can now uphold few responsibilities seamlessly, without the need of your guardian or parent.' The subject-verb agreement and pronoun consistency also need attention. While the student attempts complex structures, the frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
