Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the Modern era, people's standard of living has improved significantly. At the same time, the cost of living and essential amenities has increased over time. It become a necessity for everyone including young people to spend money wisely and save money for their future. I fully agree with this view.
To begin with, saving money enables young students to cover educational expenses. In almost small to bigger schools, students are required to prepare projects, create posters, buy additional books, and other academic resources. So, they can manage these expenses without relying heavily on their parents. To exemplify this, a student who regularly saves a small amount of money can buy additional reference books whenever needed. Hence, developing the habit of saving money from a young age can help students become more financially responsible and independent.
In addition to this, saving can prevent people from borrowing money. If an individual get involved in debt once, they face pressure to return debt and faces several consequences. Moreover, having sufficient savings can reduce people's dependence on loans and credit cards. This can help them avoid unnecessary debt and financial pressure in the future. To elaborate this, Someone with adequate savings may be able to pay for an expensive electronic device without taking out a loan. Hence, it is evident that saving money helps you during tough situations.
To conclude, I strongly believe that saving money is essential, particularly for young people. It can help them manage educational expenses, become financially independent, and avoid unnecessary debt. Therefore, developing the habit of saving from an early age can provide greater financial security and prepare individuals for unexpected challenges in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have clearly addressed the prompt and maintained a consistent position throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, particularly the focus on educational expenses and debt avoidance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'educational expenses' could be further extended by discussing the long-term benefits of financial literacy rather than just buying books. The response covers all parts of the task well, but to reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more depth in your supporting arguments and ensure that your examples are fully integrated into the logic of your paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'In addition to this,' and 'To conclude' effectively to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the link between 'borrowing money' and 'facing consequences' is clear, but the progression could be more sophisticated. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and each paragraph has a clear central topic, which helps maintain the overall coherence of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'essential amenities,' 'financially responsible,' and 'financial security.' There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'In almost small to bigger schools,' which is slightly awkward phrasing. You attempt to use less common vocabulary, but some word choices are repetitive. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repeating the same words (like 'money' and 'saving') too frequently. Overall, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly without any significant impediment to the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'It become a necessity' (should be 'has become') and 'If an individual get involved' (should be 'gets involved'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and article errors throughout the text. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that your complex sentences are constructed with consistent accuracy.
